  1. Re:El Hazard on Essential Anime · · Score: 1

Only the Alternative World is available on DVD, but Yes, El Hazard is a favorite. Along with: Slayers, Ghost in the Shell, Tenchi, Lodoss, Macross Plus, and Vampire Hunter(Darkstalkers). Good stuff.

  2. No Lawsuits on Playstation Emulation On The Dreamcast · · Score: 1

Bleem! has already had its day in court with the PC version, amd since none of Sony's code is used it is perfectly legal. Sony's gonna fume over this, but there really isn't anything they can do about it, or else Bleem! wouldn't already be on the shelves at your local PC Software store.

And anyway. being a Dreamcast owner, I look forward to this, especially since my PSX died a while ago. Plus....it's just nice to see someone put emulation on the other company's hardware.

    And stuff.

  4. Re:Not very realistic? on X-Files FPS Episode · · Score: 1

I've died in dreams, or fallen, the weird thing is, I always wake yup with my body remembering things. I've fallen in dreams, only to wake up still feeling like I was, or been shot in dreams, and I feel pain for the first moment of being awake. I think it's just more of that "mid-state" where your brain hasn't decided if you are awake or not, and is overloading itself. NOthing fatal...but really weird.

  6. Re:Videogames Are No Longer a Work of Art on The Future of Console Gaming · · Score: 1

I beg to differ. Games can still be works of art, look at Soul Calibur. Less than a year ago, no one could have ever thought it was going to turn into the almost perfect game it is. If you compare it to the arcade version, it's almost unbelievable what Namco pulled off. The major difference between having one person or 100 people working on a gmae is scope. You can have a 7 disc Role Playing game full of story and intrugue, instead of a repeating shooter, which is what most games worked on by one person seem to be. I'm sorry, but games are very much still works of art from time to time, you just have to dig through all of the "me too" crap to find that one game.

    >with most of these companies you can more or >less choose your parts. THat may be so, but I guess for me it's mainly just that I don't trust anyone else to build my machine to the specs I want properly. Especially not Dell or Compaq. I use a Dell at work, and it is one of the worst boxes I've ever worked on....no wait...maybe that's the NT on it. But anyway, for my personal computer, I'd rather be the one putting it together. and stuff.

  11. Crack in the water supply... on Video Game Wars Aren't Always Games · · Score: 2

Are the people at Salon on crack? They say, in relation to the games on the Dreamcast: "So far, only one -- Power Stone -- has gotten glowing reviews." Uh...Soul Calibur has gotten nearly 100% "Best fighting game ever" reviews, and Sonic Adventure is averaging 8-outta-10, so uh....just pointing that out....and stuff
