Who says you have to be doing something illegal to be persecuted?
So to answer the question "I've got nothing to hide" my response would be "Don't worry, they'll find something."
It's not like US roads are Mad Max yet. But driving a tiny car like this is dangerous because:
A) You will get zero respect from other drivers, making lane changing a bit unnerving.
B) An SUV's bumper will come up just about to your head.
C) Less visible to other drivers in "normal" sized cars or semitrucks.
And, yes, there are bicyclists all over the place. And it is VERY dangerous to be on the roads. In my state there are even attorneys dedicated to representing people on bicyclists who get into accidents.
That doesn't happen here in the uk, since the vehicle is seen as cool, distinctive and effective.
Yeah, it's different cultures I guess.
Speaking as an American, the smart car looks dorky, impractical and, frankly, dangerous on US roads.
Secondly it's a Mercedes
Mercedes are cock-mobiles for alpha monkeys who have lots of money to spend on repair bills.
And the smart car? 40MPG? That sucks. There are cars you can buy in the US that are three times its size that get better MPG... and you won't get laughed at in them either.
Pfft. I have a SB Audigy and a set of creative 7.1 speakers. The audio quality from that's is better than most $1,000+ systems found in some greasy Best Buy. I feel that's good enough for listening to MP3's and casual movie watching.
The only difference comes in recording. That's when I'd want condenser mics and mixing equipment. The bill for such a system could blow the monocle right off of John D. Rockefeller's mummified corpse.
The wide-scale adoption is already there. These cards are primarily used for digital cameras, and ever increasingly, digital video cameras. So demand isn't the problem.
It's only a matter of time before larger capacity cards come out. And it's only a matter of time before they become dirt cheap. Just because it isn't very practical now doesn't mean it won't be in the near future.
"I read up and I was mistaken - it's the fourth most common metal on Earth and makes up 0.63% of the mass of the Earth (according to wikipedia.) That's still quite a bit of the stuff."
That is also incorrect (Oh, Wikipedia.) Titanium is the 7th most abundant Metal on Earth. A lot of people have trouble recognizing Calcium, Sodium and Potassium as metals.
Wow, a security company telling us we're not secure enough? Who'd ever have guessed.
Idiot. An ugly, poorly dressed idiot at that.
You know, there are microphones already for the iPod. They're for voice memos. So it's just a question of software.
At first reading, I thought that the UN was defaced by some white people, and the author was just being racist.
Then I imagined that the UN as a society of pimps. This is where I live now. In my mind.
T-Mobile has some basic phones. In fact, I'm pretty sure all of them do. You just have to know where to look.
