This guy points out that the plutonium is in a pelittized form. Even if that stuff were to fall into earth orbit, it wouldnt kill us.
The reason nasa scraped use of RTGs is because of public outcry over the shooting of plutonium. The media would say, that their newest space craft is carring 6 pounds of plutonium, when only one pound is enouf to kill everybody on earth. Of course, the media dosent tell people it is in a ceramic form.
Ext3 can be used, infact i have been using it for three months, The reason its not in the kernel yet is because its simply not to the point where the developers feel its done and userspace tools are not done. But to be compleatly honest, It's been running fine without userspace tools on my box here.
yep, and I have burned them in the past, i know, i had a post that kept changing for like a week after i made it, it was everywere from troll to underrated, to insightful, kinda sucks
yeah, but thats probaly because it was bsd, or it was just checking to see if it had a copy of the page on its disk. One has to notice alot of those solutions are turn key solutions. This box was probaly just put together by some bored guy one afternoon.
You are right, they are targiting the people who OWN the sites. But in companys, well, atleast in the one I work in, IT/IS staff are asked for advice on what would be the best way, by the owner of the company. So, it still comes back to the people who run the Server. (Thow, we have three NT servers I would love to take a slege hammer to, where I work)
This won't fly with anybody who is intelegent, and truly researches things before they even consider spending a ounce of money.
The one question informed companys now ask themselfs is:
Why schould we spend all this money, when we can get an operating system that is free, reliable, and stable, and can do more than the expensive product.
Theirfor, This is useless for Microsoft to say, it won't win them any companys buying tons of copies of win2k.
I compleatly agree with you, this kind of bickering causes all kinds of problems, and people din't see the example I set forth, A real world example. That Intel cannot compeate with the Crusoe processor because it eats less power, and less power is good, it allows longer battery life. So people like me can finish my program for computer science, or not halfto shut down my laptop 5 min before the bell, So I can get any last minute notes.
They do have a large market share, but the crusoe is obiously better. I know the crusoe is going to be comming out in all those little devices that we have been drooling at for like two years, like the webpad, that runs linux.
Intel could buy them out, but I don't think intel is worried, if they are going to try and develop a new chip. The Crusoe will probaly halfto bite intel in their ass before they realise whats realy going on, it will be interresting.
Intel will never be able to compeate with the Cursoe, Its a hell of alot better. Eats less power, and that is they key, its not speed, its battery life. I'm happy with my p166 laptop, it just needs a little more memory, and a longer battery life. Half a hour to a hour is not a long time, espicaly when High School classes run 65 min. My laptop with a intel chip has never made it threw a full class on a fully charged battery.
At my school, We are phasing out the macs, with ibms running Fortress. From what i have seen of At Ease, its better, Fortress is just buggie, and annoying. Anyway, we have alot of systems that we have no security software on because they are primarly used to surf the net, and fortress kinda hinders that, anyway, kids very quickly download, and install their own stuff, aol is one of the first things that gets installed, I must erase atleast one copy a week. I wish the insecure systems had antivirus software on it, and maybe, get it thinking that aol is viruses, thta would be neat, to see it get spotted as a virus.
(hell, aol should be classified as a virus in the first place)
For small office servers, ide is just fine, infact, i tried scsi, and the the box just crashed all the time (ok, like once every 20 days or so, but thats still bad), but for a serious server, like web/mail/news/MAJOR file server, i would perfer to use SCSI, mainly because of all the neat things i could do with it, like 7 drives on one controler, or if its sub-addressed, some huge number (to tired, and to happy to see more snow to think of it) of drives. -LW
The ppp link is easy, I even scanned my palm from my fbsd box once. Of corse, Nmap had no clue what os the palm was.
The below is what i use in /etc/inittab for my DEC VT320
s3:2345:respawn:/sbin/getty ttyS3 19200 vt220-w

There is some US law, or UN regulation that bans RTGs, it was passed, and was set to go into effect like a month after Cassini was launched
.... Yes, So we may add Furbys to our Armys of the Night!!!!!......

What do you expect from a state, where only one out of every five children live with both parents.

I just want to point out, that the lower it is on thowse graphs, the better it is....
There may be thousands in some landfill, but I have one in my closet.
Refresh my memory, but wasent it, Alexander the Great, that took care of the Gordian Knot, by slicing threw it with his sword.

Yeah, Your right, a Perfect Example of why Solaris is better than Windows.

Probaly Not, atleast in the area covered by Arin, due to the price of Buying, and Maintaining IPv6 address space with arin.

Yeah, which moderator is on crack, they need to get rid of their crack pipe and visit reality.

If this is true, all the high school teches are realy genna be happy, if not breaking chairs over the idots heads who install aol on school computers.
nope, i dint, it was the evil drives, a box with two scsi 2 hard drives in it, fans, and all, hey it worked.
