Sorry to break it to you dude but being treated like a shmuck by your boss isn't industry specific.

Don't want to be stating the obvious but is the issue number 2 related to the page not being taller than the screen? i.e. there is nothing to scroll to so the scroll bar is not needed. Not exactly a bug, just a debatably useful feature.

I'd agree it would probably be better to leave it there greyed out like IE as occasionally I get clients wondering why the page just "shifted" a bit when they navigate to an identical templated page that's short enough to cause this.

That's a bit unfair. Microsoft moved the goalposts and very likely were somewhat secretive about where they moved them too. Writing a new set of drivers for a piece of software that is largely closed and still in development must be a nightmare.

But once they have sold their shares to Microsoft, by default, they wouldn't own shares in Yahoo anymore so why would they care what happened next?

Not saying it's right, just that the subsequent success of the deal is an irrelevance to the process of making a quick profit on the stockmarket.

    Think about it...

You're applying for a new job, your prospective employer gets the chance to take a sneaky peak at your health records. They discover that you have a history of treatment for depression and alchohol dependency.

    No job for you.

So, basically the whole book is a scam to educate a user enough to where they think they need security software ($ymantec), but... No the scam is convincing us lot that buying and distributing this book will prevent calls from our mum/brother/gran asking why their internet connection is so slow and why no matter how many times they click the "ok" button those damn pop-ups wont go away.

To me it read: "People have to be 18 to buy x and you must card them to prove the fact. Though lets be sensible and if they are clearly older than that, say 30 ish, then you don't have to card them".

We should be commending the writer of the act for trying to apply some common sense and flexibility.
