It's hard to tell who's the bigger idiot here, the CC employee for thinking that playing files off the hard drive would verify the operation of a DVD drive, or the court for accepting that kind of crap!
The F-22 has a fly-by-wire control system. If there really were a crash of ALL on-board computer systems, communication and navigation would not have been the most immediate concerns!
I'm sure this will all get sorted out soon. I distinctly remember George Bush promising broadband for allby 2007. Please don't say that we're going to end up with "broadband for some, tiny American flags for others." I won't believe it.
