But since there was a stigma attached to lesser scores and competition to get into university increased they invented ways to get higher than a perfect 4.0. Because everyone's child must be considered excellent even if they can barely read.
Why even have grades? Heck, why not just issue college degrees with the high school diploma and skip collegiate classrooms altogether! Think of all the savings!
