Honestly, this is a great outreach to new/youunger and future voters.
Also goes to show that big companies (like AOL) and big people (like John Edwards) really see both the Internet and virtual worlds (i.e. Second Life) as a big part of the future.
It's like giving away apples but then complaining if the guy you gave the apples to gives them away to someone else. Who are they gonna sue next, the RSS readers like Bloglines for picking up their content?
I think in this case, our government and this group need to realize that just because Canada doesn't have the same "super-duper" piracy "prevention" (if you want to call it that) as America does (remember, we're the one with almost trillions of dollars in our yearly budget) shouldn't mean that we need to "blacklist" Canada.
That's a shame.
So the guy posted some episodes of a TV show on YouTube--mind you from a TV station that doesn't require Cable to watch.
C'mon News Corp-- it's not like you don't give away FOX for free anyway. If I didn't have Cable, I could watch FOX all I want without paying you a penny--so when this guy promotes your free-to-watch shows... meh.
I could understand it if someone posted an episode from a station like HBO that requires Cable to watch. But it's not. That's horrible.
As for Google... why in the world did you give them this guy's info? You took the videos down. You did what they wanted. I thought you weren't evil. Honestly, what ECOTotal did was not anything out of the ordinary.
Just hope the guy doesn't get in any legal trouble.

Their own damn fault for putting RSS feeds and all that stuff for Google to find.

Seriously, guys. Grow up.
I'm part Canadian. I like Canada.
