Will you pay $500 for a browser and browse foo-bar site just because they added ground-breaking, revolutionary, proprietary extension to html standard? If development has to happen, it has to happen through standard. Yes, it is slow. But, that gives you flexibility to see that html(odf here) anywhere(linux,win95,iphone,any phone,handheld...) consistently.

If evolution has to happen, it has to happen in office suite, not in a way to cripple odf compatablity, inter-operability. If something is missing in odf, it can be added to the standard.

Interesing thing about Shivaji's case which happened in August 2007 was that, they arrested wrong person the first time (Airtel local ISP mixed up ip info. he he). And that guy sued Airtel for screwing him for months in jail. Second time, they might have got the right person.

Why is everyone I see support google for whatever they do?

When Yahoo did the same thing in China, everyone was ripping Yahoo apart for doing that, in china and in US. Now for this, no one knows what the profane images are... and everyone is praising Google for obeying local laws. Good to go.

You are comparing apples to oranges here.

Apple had the advantage of ripping of kernel written by some one else(Darwin,Freebsd), which runs on any hardware you throw at it.
Compare that to windows NT, you get kernel/api(win32,win16,dos tsr/ivt...) which suck at everything, which is not very good compared to anything else, which still has to run the same application written in 80-85(dos),90-95(win16) by some dumbhead.
