The series was basically restarted, now called the Classic and News series. It has connections to the old but also feels mostly disjointed. I love both.
The only reason P2P has taken off is simply because Western Police forces actually enforce the law. This simply doesn't happen in most Far East Asian countries, walk down any Bangkok street and bootleg VCDs/DVDs are blatantly sold. The copyright laws aren't worth the paper they're written on.
As another poster has said there's no way P2P will replace hard copy media any time soon, if at all.
"I wouldn't call any of the changes earth-shattering. When I'm using XP systems I miss some of the features but not so much that they push me to upgrade any faster.'"
Funny that's exactly how I feel when using Windows 2000 (which at work I still do) over XP. Most of XP's work was done 2 years prior with Windows 2000. The fundamentals of Windows XP are 7 years not 5 years old.
So you're never going to upgrade Windows again? And stick with XP for the rest of your computing life? Good luck, you'll get Vista like everyone else eventually. Just like when you needed to you upgraded from Windows 98 to Windows XP.
In 12-24 months time Windows XP like Windows 2000 before it will seem very old and outdated, with software which won't run at all or properly on it. Yep I'm sure you'll still be saying "I'll stick with XP".
Get real and stop all this Vista scaremongering on an OS you've (that's the general you) never even used.
Well that would depend which country you're talking about? The UK isn't Estonia yet both are in Europe.
Europe is a continent like The Americas not a country. I wish non-Europeans would get this.
Right so not voting is the answer. You may as well sit there when being attacked because fighting back you may get hurt further.
Pity we don't all live in your rose tinted world where everyone is happy and loves each other. By not voting you're basically saying you have no interest in how your country is run and worse still are happy to leave things as they are. That may not be what you mean by it' the same end result.
Just don't moan (like you will) when things happen in your country you disagree with.
uTorrent is utter rubbish though. There's a reason it's light, it looks like software I used 10 years ago. BitComet is far better.
And if you like many really think Vista is just Aero you need to do some research. Your comments that Vista will be end of Microsoft, a company whose Windows software is on 85-90% of computers in the world, a company as big as Microsoft did make me laugh though.
Linux is free and look percentage wise how many people use that.
To answer your question what is New and Wanted in XP? Yet people still upgraded from Windows 2000 to it.
"His XP system has 2GB of RAM, which he calls the "sweet spot" for that operating system"
What a load of rubbish, there is no way you need 2Gb for XP to run well. I'd love to know what he runs to think he needs this, SQL Server 2005 while playing Doom 3 maybe.
Not mentioning this is another large oversight.
I run 1Gb and 95% of the time have noticed zero increase in speed or performance from when I ran 512Mb. 2Gb for XP what a load of crap.
For mos users 512Mb is the sweet spot, any less is a disaster. For Vista I bet it's 3Gb maximum (I suspect 2Gb will be fine), while hardware vendors like to make you think you need to double each time (512Mb, 1Gb, 2Gb, 4Gb).
So the article is saying to browse the web, e-mail, a bit of DVD burning, the odd game (of which the graphics card has always been more important) you need 4Gb of RAM? I seriously doubt it, and even then imagine the cost.
Good luck finding a laptop which even supports 4Gb, from my experience most max out at 2Gb with some supporting 3Gb.
What about dimmer switches? Those don't work with energy saving light bulbs or areas of the house you need imediate light such as an attic/loft or basement?
The idea is a good one but they need to sell regular light bulbs too.

A Slashdot member has kindly posted the link to the petition (something Slashdot should've done) which only list the number of voters, which as far as I can see closed because it expired (all votes on the pm.gov.uk have an expiry date) NOT because Tony Blair forcibly closed it. Another Slashdot member has posted this without any source link to backup what he posted.
Incidentally I have just found the relevant source link Slashdot should've posted in the first place (and pasted in here): http://www.pm.gov.uk/output/Page10987.asp
I'd always prefer to read the source link as I've no idea otherwise if it's true. Also: Homepage for ID Cards: http://www.pm.gov.uk/output/Page10960.asp. Next time Slashdot instead of posting such blatantly one sided news how about you also post your source links to back it up!
As for whether Tony Blair is good prime minister as I see some are commenting on that's a debate for an entirely different discussion, if you think Tony Blair solely is for ID Cards you're a fool.
Personally I think he's done a lot for the UK which is overshadowed by his recent Iraq war decisions. Tony Blair has been in power 10 years lets not forget and also lets not forget what a mess the Conservatives left the country in.

Some perspective please people.
