Same her. Turned to Feedly after Google shut down. Wouldn't read /. if it wasn't for RSS

I changed to Google servers a while back. With all respect to Chris, in the past I had a lot of problems with CC's DNSs not finding valid web sites, so just changed over to Google one day...

Forget usenet. We should sut Verizon and other telcos. Do you know people use the phone to deal drugs and plan other crimes! The whole phone system is nothing but a way for criminals to break the law. it should be shut down immediately! How verizon can let people talk about anything they want is beyond me. :)

Just finished it and enjoyed it (Phantom). Although between the extended violence descriptions and the 'what do we do' speeches, it did sound a bit like a filler between books 9 and 11. Probably could have trimmed 1-2 hundred pages and not lost much, but I did plow through it. Just annoyed it'll be 1.5 years before the last volume comes out in paperback.

OMG. Glad I wasn't the only person to feel this way. "we got up today and ate breakfast then I went to the other tent and we talked and then". Once our main characters broke into three groups and we had three simultaneous dragging story lines I had to finally give up. I would almost love an 'abridged' copy of the later books so I can follow the story. At least Terry Goodkind finally realized he should close out the main series so he wouldn't become like Jordan...

For 150 million, you could have given away thousands of DVD players, rather than lining the pockets of executives for no reason.

  7. Re:+ tax on IRS May Ask eBay To Snitch On Sellers · · Score: 1

That's the problem - the article doesn't mention if there's a difference between people who sell new products vs selling 'stuff'. If I pay $10 for a book, then sell it for $5 on ebay - it's hard to declare that as 'income' (but the government does what it wants anyways...)
