    They stare at the code because they dont know the solution they are looking at and all its qurks that the original creator would know. This is why we all hate inheriting somebody elses code. This is because we are too full of ego, hack in workarounds and so on, because? Because we design it to be FAT software, we need to think smaller objects, smaller API's smaller smaller smaller! How often have you seen objects that are really 2 or 3 objects rolled into one? BLOAT. Abstraction is great when done right, you can unit test the objects properely, they do one thing and one thing WELL, not 3 or 4 things. If I find my self scrolling screen loads of code, I start to think its time to refactor.

    .. feel free to throw some rotton eggs at him. One thing though, when he is in Europe he doesnt dance about like a monkey spreading his BO of death, he actually is calm and business like. While he is here he will be "leveraging" his demands to various government officials and using the businesses he has aquired there as a bargining chip like he has done over software patents. Do as I want or I close shop and you have to pay unemployment, and lose the tax, and so on. Thats how he does business. He also will have the press in tow. He really does love his tours of self importance.

    No, the main reason is reinvention of the wheel and too many egos and managemnet want more in less time with less people and its a BLUE COLLAR JOB, its not rocket science anymore, its like building a house, get over yourself.

    Which is what my second point was, their pushing to their standards is also pushing more choice in standards such as adobe and openoffice etc more and more. I welcome MSFT's standards drive for that very reason.

    Does the whole disk encryption support partitions? PGP WholeDisk 9.5 does. at last. Anyway, in about 2 years I am moving towards Seagate full drive encryption and eventually solid state with full encryption, software drive encryption will be a thing of the past.

    Uhh ISO now fast tracks Microsoft submissions, havnt you heard? One good thing that MSFT is now pushing their standards, that forces Adobe to follow suit with their submissions. The great thing about standards is there is so many to choose from now :)

    And PSU's are heading towards 1000 Watt suckerage. I think its getting ridicoulous that a computer can use more power than a fridge AND freezer or washing machine etc. I wish they would focus on low more efficient low temperature power usage and parallelise more and specalise more than what we have today.

    .. doing this for years. Grandted its not as stylish but comapred to the average PC. We need to get away from teh big board standard, Im guessing most of those slots are just wasted space. We need more MODULARITY at a smaller scale and more focus on less power usage and heat.

    Good samaratian laws? Hey were talking about America here, how will using CPR affect the stock markets? Priorities man! This is a country that has so many fingers in everybody elses cookie jars nevermind take care of its own. When you are admitted to hostpital ill, perhaps dying, first thing they want to see, is your BANK BALANCE. Fuck that shit hole. Let the country ROT.     Crashing into things is their speciality. However this gravity satellite is a bit fluffy. Since they seem to place money into the equasion, I say let the managers sit on the surface and count the pennies since thats obviously way more important than their asses.

    actually there is a silver bullet.. Read up on Tesla's inventions. Not only do you have green energy from the environment around you you also have the high energy from the environemt around you. Our problem is we turn our back to nature and the environment around us, yet it is brimming with energy, you have solar, wind, wave, you have THE MAGNETSOSPHERE and more. Work with nature and it works with you.

    Apple has nothing special for "Arts", Photoshop etc are all available on Windows as are drawing tablets. If you want specalised hardware for art then you shop Wacom and others not Apple.

    .. joke, he plays up the "you can download trailers" big deal, I read that as "you can pay us and we can serve you advertisements, isnt it great you sucker!". If this is a delivery for trailers (movei advertisements), why should I pay? Their devices are nothing awe inspiring, nothing that hasnt been done before. They are just a BRAND company, not a company of invention or revolution. They are just milking the old historical Commodore brand just as the Amiga brand was milked and failed.
