Seriously or not, this kind of dumb law is why we still need to USE OUR 1st and 2nd amendments. Not to bitch about it or make fun of it on slashdot, but to really speak out. Our government does not hear us and our government certainly does not fear us.
I run a web server and for me it's part time. The sites are mostly my own real-world businesses and when I need to add, oh say, something new in the hppd.conf throu SSH it takes me a lot of remembering, lots of reading and calls to friends. AND everyone is going to have a server they have to maintain? I used to be a full time developer, 6 months pass and I can't remember how too.... how is my friend who can barly figure out how to restart their PC keep a "home" server running? Anyway...... I am going to my google homepage to read some real news.
There is a road that goes all way if that is your question 3200 miles from Anchorage to San francisco (I made it in 55 hours once when I was young).
For your other idea, Russia couldn't take over Afghanistan and we have way more guns and loads of Military personel and hardware, so the joke will be on them.
Does anyone remember when Ford wanted to win LeMond? How much money they threw at their cars in a sad attempt to win? Now look, Audi S4 vs. a Ford? Audi almost died during the 80's and 90's. My anology could go on......

They might want to ask Alaskans if *WE* want the tunnel. I live in Alaska and have not heard of this great idea. Another road to nowhere. Yeah.
