  1. Re:Shame about Exchange on Evolution 1.0 Released · · Score: 1

Well, Evolution is not working for me since RC 1. There are some weird problems with oaf and wombat that prevent Evolution from starting. All I get is the dreaded "Cannot start Evolution shell. Configuration database not found" error message. I posted a bug report on bugzilla, we had some message exchange but the problems still persist. At least for me and a bunch of other users, Evolution is dead in the water.

What are you people on, for crying out loud??? First, there was a lunatic asking /. about alien rights (sure, worry about the aliens from other planets/galaxies and forget about the Planet Earth's "aliens" - right, my Mexican friends?), and now there is this bullshit about Slashdot during war. Drop the acid, guys... All of you! The ones who sent in those silly questions and the ones at /. who posted them in the first place. Smarten up... Well, I know, that's kinda hard for a Nation who elected an ass as their President...

I always get buffled by comments like this. Where the f@#!! you guys think Brazil is? Is it in another planet? You damn fools, Brazil may be poor but it is not miserable. And yes, they already are flooded with American crap such as Star Wars, Power Rangers and the like. And the Internet or the use of computers were not responsible for that. Folks, FYI this is the 21st century and there's something called Television, and satelite, and telephones as well. Don't be ridiculous to even think that Brazilians don't have access to all that crap. They _all_ do! Now, for the sake of sanity, stop thinking that only you American idiots can have access to these things. Wake up and smell the coffee, folks! Smarten up! Oh, I forgot, you guys elected George W. Bush as President of your Country. Say no more...

  4. Re:PCI DSL cards are not equivalent to a network c on Internal DSL Modems and Linux Drivers? · · Score: 1

Hey there! If you have such great ideas, why don't you tell me how to go about my DSL problem? Here's what it is: I am connected through Bell-Sympatico in Canada, via external Nortel Networks high speed modem. And of course I'm using Linux (RedHat 6.0, Kernel 2.2.x) in a home network using IP masquerading. It's been working fine for the most part, except that I cannot ftp, more precisely, I can't upload any files even from my gateway computer. Whenever I try sending some file from home, the conection resets and the process gets stuck in the middle (no pun intended). So, any clue? Anyone? Thanks a whole lot, Carlson
