You know there can actually be good reasons for printing photos immediately, although most consumers may not need it. For example, I worked in the film industry for several years. Before the cast and extras went for lunch, or left for the day, Polaroid photos were taken of everyone, to make sure they cam back wearing the same clothes, same hair, didn't have ketchup stains, etc. If people were leaving just for a short break, having printed photos are very handy - post them all on a board, everyone can look and compare. Sure, you can do it all digitally, but the expense behind digital cameras, flat panel display so everyone can see, requiring someone technically adept and posting all the photos, etc. makes a Polaroid seem too simple.

For example, CPA's, accountants, auditors, the IRS!!! If you get rid of all exceptions and go to a simple flat tax rate, you instantly have destroyed thousands of business and caused I don't know how many hundreds of thousands of people to lose their job. Consider Taxation without Representation. Should corporations pay taxes but not be able to influence the government imposing those taxes? Stop taxing corporation and then the government can, and should be forced by law, to ignore them, their lobbyiests and their donations. Many of those topics you bring up are not issues that the Federal Government should be dealing with, so if you ever hear a Tea Partier talk about Abortion, Marijuana (medical or not), etc, they are not talking about it from the Tea Party perspective, but from their own opinion.

That's another thing you don't understand about the Tea Party - unlike Dems and Reps, they all don't believe the exact same thing, or vote the same way. In contrast, if your a loyal Dem you vote for Abortion, and if you're a loyal Rep you vote against Abortion. But, if you're are a Tea Partier, you don't support Abortion being a Federal issue.

Don't criticize the Tea-Party for wanting Freedom. Because they don't have an official leader, yet, there are a lot of them who make different statements and claims, and they all don't agree with the details. But the one thing they all agree on is Freedom.

And you're right, many of them don't understand history, and taxes ARE too low to support the current government programs that ensure our Security.

Unfortunately, many of the trees surrounding the homes weren't accustomed to the winds and were very large and couldn't handle the wind. Yes, it would have been wise for people to trim the trees prior to the storms. So maybe they were stupid in that sense. But surely it wasn't surfing-in the-storm stupidity.

No, do the opposite. Scrap the income tax and implement a consumption (sales) tax. Who cares how much you make. Tax on what you spend, because what you spend things on impacts what government resources are needed to support it. How much money you have in the bank has zero impact on society. But the cars you drive, food you consume, house(s) you live in, etc. all those impact everyone.
