Unlike civil cases, criminal cases always proceed regardless of what the actual victim says.
A complaint is only one piece of proof to start an investigation. I mean, otherwise why would a murder case be investigated at all? Since the victim never files a complaint or a lawsuit.

What are you talking about? Windows 7 is by far the best OS Microsoft has put out and, in my opinion, far easier to use than any other desktop OS (I feel like Apple's OS has stagnated and KDE and GNOME are just poor man's copycats). The swtich from XP to 7 is an easy choice for any company since it is more secure, more stable, and more user-friendly.

I will not use my mod points just because I disagree with you. But here's my response:
Windows 7 has been nothing like usable. Usability seriously dropped compared to XP. I mean there are so many small quirks that are damn annoying and not intuitive. I still am baffled by the overwrite dialogue every time it appears. It's the worst usability offender by far, because it uses two UX elements at the same time. Even if Gnome and KDE are "poor man's copycats"(which they no longer are), they are much more consistent. In short, I am able to operate KDE/Gnome while I'm drunk and can't understand how to do most tasks in Win7.

Other manufacturers such as HTC, Motorola, Sony, have had bits and pieces of their products inspired by Apple (and Apple by them, such as the new notification center in iOS clearly taking from Android). But the whole product produced by these companies is still unique with its own stylings.

Quite a flawed analogy. The part that is very similar is the input part. I could mistake a Nintendo controller with XBox controller quite easily. And if you flip over the tablet, there is no way in hell will you not be able to mistake Galaxy Tab from iPad. From the front? Yes. That is the input area. And given that touch is the method of input, the input area will be very similar.* Whereas Wii, PS3 and XBox input methods are different - Nunchuck, Move and Kinect. While the controllers are very similar between the devices.

But I have to repeat myself - I hope Samsung gets slapped for their TouchWiz UI and smartphone designs. Galaxy Tab? iPad is does not have enough ornamental design to warrant protection, except for the home button.

    * - And if you start with "But Apple isn't suing other tablet manufacturers..." I will remind that Apple has sued Moto over XOOM(of all tablets...) in Germany for the same CD as Galaxy Tab.
