    There are people buring dead on both sides, and innocents as well, yet they didn't feel the need to remove the Americans.

    So your position is that getting shot at in a video game by a bunch of guys in turbans isn't going to remind them of Afghanistan or cause stress unless they're named "Taliban"?

    Why do you think that? I think capitalism was inevitable, but democracy is not something that would have come to Russia naturally. Someone else would have simply taken over. Even with Democracy they ended up with another strongman with an iron fist.

    Democracy just changes the way leaders get into power. A feudal society is a feudal society, no matter how it picks it's leaders. I think you're confusing democracy and freedom. The two are not synonyms. One does not automatically, or even usually lead to the other.

    What does their employer's actions have to do with Democracy? Voter verification can be abused, but it's not undemocratic. Would you call Congress undemocratic because their votes are public?

    However, with that said, I won't upgrade to Blu-Ray until they bring the price of hardware down to a reasonable level.

    They're like $100. That's reasonable.

    Same thing goes for their overpriced movies.

    I just bought Kick-ass on Blu-Ray for $24. The DVD version was $20. Again, the price difference seems reasonable to me.

    The only reason the Shining didn't suck is because Kubrick made it. The Mick Garris series sucked. Only about 6 of the 60 or so King movies/TV shows didn't suck, and most of those are due to exceptional directing or acting, not the underlying story.
