Couldn't be bothered to read my entire sentence? Unless domain experts are constantly auditing he code it means very little that Joe Average can browse the code.
That's great and all, but if one can't actually use it it's rather useless to try to impress us with theoretical capabilities that will take countless more decades to actually happen.
You already have one. It's called Minix 3. It can be used today and even has full sound support and USB support since many years ago. The Hurd is just a one-man wankfest at this point.
Ok. So by which century will Hurd be usable enough that I can take advantage of the features? And don't say "now" because not having sound support or full workinf x86_64 support does not make a usable kernel.
Geshuri did not create the no-hire policy that was agreed upon by Google, Apple and the other Silicon Valley companies. He was just an HR guy who followed his company's policies
Which is no excuse for breaking the law. As an HR guy he should not have been following illegal policies.
Or maybe the Slashdort web monkeys could get off their asses and just implement UTF-8 support? The standard is 24 years old by now. It's not like it's something new and unproven at this point.
Your fear-mongering is several years of out date. Java applets have had multiple levels of click-to-play style protection for a long time. Malware authors are having much more success targeting things like Android users these days.
Yeah and the click-to-play has been bypassed multiple times.
Even with timely updates, the browser plugin was just a security hole whack-a-mole game. Only Flash Player managed to be a more bug-ridden piece of shit.
The malware authors will surely love your organizationi for keeping the web plugin around for them to exploit. Now they won't even have to worry about security bugs being patched.
No, your ISP only promised you *up to* that speed.

It's decades further along than Hurd is.
Ah, yes the old, tried and true "Fix it yourself, bum" response.
Nah, even he's wiped his hands of it years ago. Hurd is just a one-man wankfest at this point.
The fact that something *can* be audited is meaningless if no one actually *is* constantly auditing it.
Whoa slow down bro! That's like a decade too advanced for Hurd.

But the CEO making 100s of times more in salary and stock options is clearly well-deserved. *rolls eyes*

May I suggest remedial English classes for the "editors".
Maybe that'll be the model for new Beta?
And yet editing is still as shitty as ever.
Rest in piece
Splendid job, timmay. *golf clap*
One word: TIMMAY!!!
No. I don't see what you mean, facist.
So Dice sold the site to scammers?

Yeah and the click-to-play has been bypassed multiple times.
And yet I was able to fully understand the context of the phrase. Seems I'm not the one needing remedial English lessons.
Even with timely updates, the browser plugin was just a security hole whack-a-mole game. Only Flash Player managed to be a more bug-ridden piece of shit.
Yes, the browser plugin's demise. Or are you incapable of understanding the context of that phrase?

Most vulnerabilities are found through binary analysis not reading the source code. And, yes, that is even true for open source software.
