Perhaps people should think a little more before they open their mouths... While I do agree with you, I think you are missing the point here.
People can learn, which means they can change their opinions and affiliations based on new knowledge and experiences. IMHO, their prior ignorant opinions should not be held against them as if they were current.
I never understood why the size of a Javascript framework is an issue. 100K, that's about two jpeg images, right? And they're usually cached by the browser, right? Is that really such a big deal? With 100k just for a framework you still need more for actual code, images, and content. It adds up and your pages start loading way too slow to be acceptable.
You are taking for granted your high-speed internet connection that you had for years. Many people (US included) are still on dialup, slow satellite connection, or some type of wireless network.
But why would you need money for this, anyway? Compenstation for work already done? Do you get your paycheck before you start working on something?
"We didn't ask for this" card doesn't work well here either.
Sending an HTML (or multi-part) message you increase likelihood of your message being flagged as SPAM; especially if your message (text) is small. SpamAssassin is an example of a filter that uses message type in its rules.
If you do not need HTML features in your message, then do not use anything but plain-text option.

It is so addictive that some Sysadmins deny it by blocking wowdetox.com completely :(
I'm just getting frustrated that I can't read many articles due to idiotic firewall/proxy.
Are they implying that IE never ever supported JavaScript and XML? This mentioning of AJAX in every possible place has got to stop.
