I find it incredible how much you can't do as an XP limited account. My parent's WiFi link is defective, and the only way to get it back is to have it go through the 'Repair' process. Limited accounts aren't allowed to do this. Merely for curiosity's sake: can limited accounts in Vista do the Repair function?
These power sources need isotopes with a low half-life (decades rather than millenia) in order to generate enough heat to be converted to electricity. What comes out of power plants has a much longer half-life so in not suitable for use in these craft. As for your second point, it is way too far away to attempt to shoot "down" (blow up is a better term, since it is nowhere near any planets to fall towards) Why would they want to destroy it, anyways? It carries no classified data and it's likely to cause any trouble. It's not going to crash into Earth and spread radioactivity. It's not going to be a hazard to other satellites. The plan is to just stop trying to talk to it in two years. (You did notice that the mission isn't being discontinued for two more years, right?)
Sorry to reply to my own post, but I noticed that the Book of Mozilla is getting another entry when FF3 goes public!:
Mammon slept. And the beast reborn spread over the earth and its numbers grew legion. And they proclaimed the times and sacrificed crops unto the
fire, with the cunning of foxes. And they built a new world in their own image as promised by the sacred words, and spoke of the beast with their
children. Mammon awoke, and lo! it was naught but a follower.
And so at last the beast fell and the unbelievers rejoiced.
But all was not lost, for from the ash rose a great bird.
The bird gazed down upon the unbelievers and cast fire
and thunder upon them. For the beast had been
reborn with its strength renewed, and the
followers of Mammon cowered in horror.
Ironic when coupled with your sig.
K: Best investigative reporting on the planet. But go ahead, read the New York Times if you want. They get lucky sometimes.
On one hand, it would be convenient to have this archive available so that we can access our records without the hassle of dealing with the healthcare system. On the other side, all that data has only the strength of your password standing between it and the Black Market.

I'm partial to warp drive or wormholes (for really long-distance travel)
It's that logic that keeps Independents from winning in the first place.
OK, so you've established that Reiser is not a geek...
So what is he?
"Linux" happened to be the name of the folder he was storing the source code in.
If you had good looks you wouldn't have made your way to the basement.
That's why we can get paid so much as a PC Technician.
I can disable/enable networking in Ubuntu without using gksu.

I think Windows Update still uses it on XP.

Yahoo!
That's what we need the hatchet for.
Type 'about:mozilla' in the address bar.
It's weird. Ubuntu's Firefox 3b3 still has 7.15. I only found the new one because I revisited Wikipedia's article.

And blood. And hair fibers.
First things first: Is is as effective as windshield wipers?
What is the desired end result of this competition? Developing methods that have a low cost-per-launch? Stimulating private space travel?
...now what does it offer that makes it so special? Screens in the keys? I can get stickers if I wanted or maybe even swap the keys.
I am failing to see a downside. What better way for them to implement their Great Firewall (not that we want that) than to make a private internet?
