Yes, a judge would likely toss that information, but might not recognize "parallel construction". Further, depending on the nature of the statement, there could be non-court related damage from the information getting out.

That part really is questionable. I don't doubt there was damage, but it wasn't likely that much damage.

Apple was informed at least a week before by the teen who discovered the bug, complete with a video of the exploit in action. They took no action until after the bug and trivial exploit went viral.

I seriously doubt this had anything to do with a law enforcement back door.

  4. See the "if they know what they're doing" part. I have seen many web pages where I could easily replace a massive bulk of included javascript + framework with under 100 lines of well written Javascript. In the most extreme case, 5 lines would have done the job. It was actually more work to do it within the framework not even including the time it would take to learn how to use the framework.

Part of the problem is that there are too many "web developers" who ONLY know how to use the framework, mostly cargo-cult style.

Some thought that the US wouldn't do such a thing as it was immoral, and no hard evidence to show that they did. This is a very dependable position.

Apparently it is not a very dependable position since the fact that they actually DID do it is a matter of public record.

It's also notable that e-cigs don't include a MAO inhibitor along with the nicotine. The MAOI in tobacco smoke potentiates the addictive properties of nicotine. After vaping for a while, the former smoker finds that the nicotine craving becomes a lot less urgent than it was while smoking.

  11. Avoid frameworks at all cost.

Javascript doesn't actually NEED a framework if your developers know what they're doing. Use it as glue between the server side and the HTML displayed by the browser. I have some Javascript that was written before Node.js even existed that still works today with no changes

I remember the "crackpot conspiracies" like the FBI is keeping dossiers on social activists like MLK and John Lennon, or the CIA is testing LSD as an interrogation tool by slipping it to unsuspecting subjects, or the NSA has a secret room where they tap into the phone system and monitor whatever calls they think are interesting,

The truth of all of those is now a matter of public record along with testing radioactive substances on mentally handicapped children and poor pregnant women, and providing sham treatment for syphilis in order to see how it progresses without treatment.
