    I would go so far as to say that the law and the prosecutions are in themselves child abuse. Consider, a teen girl is being told that an image of her body is so toxic to society that she is guilty of a felony just for taking a picture of it.

    Prosecution in the U.S. jumped the shark some time ago. It is entirely possible for a minor to be charged as an adult for manufacturing child pornography for taking a picture of him/herself.

    Just to add to the fun, there is evidence that organized crime in Italy has used the CALEA mandated back door to spy on their government even though there is no CALEA there. The equipment had the back door because it might be sold in the U.S.

    Or, you could use a cipher when writing your documents, use an obscure foreign language, or write in deniable innuendo.

    They were well aware of ways to make your papers useless to an investigator and they chose to do nothing about it.

    If they hadn't spent the last decades battering and abusing the Constitution, there wouldn't be so many people interested in encrypting everything.

    Probably because the deniers want to use minuscule blips in the temperature to 'support' a claim that decades of measurements mean nothing. All they're trying to do in TFA is quantify a well supported occurrence using recent data.

    Smith's premise of markets depended on there being a great many small buyers and sellers who were of roughly equal economic power (say, within an order of magnitude). He said as much in the often cited but nearly never actually read " An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations". (You should read it, it's free!)

    So no, two corporate billionaires selling to individuals is nothing like a viable market.

    Note too that he was a proponent of strong regulation and an opponent of corporate charters except where absolutely unavoidable. If you buy into the market, you should naturally oppose corporations and seek to minimize them.

    As for the FDA, it came into existence because there were poisonous foods and drugs on the market and people were dying.

    If you care to call for better regulation, I'm with you. I would love to see the FDA abolished with a ground up replacement, among many other reforms.

    As for the current topic, I am glad the FCC i butting out. That was not an appropriate regulation.

    That would be an interesting application, but I doubt the carriers are going to hand over sufficient control to implement that.

    No. The cause of the delay was that he could unintentionally (and even inattentively) violate the security setup. If nobody is supposed to go that way then it shouldn't be possible at all. If only some people are supposed to go that way then someone should be posted to make sure only authorized people do that.

    If it was such a security emergency, shouldn't someone have seen him sooner and led him back the right way so he wouldn't contact anyone already screened?

    I see no evidence that you are one of the people who assures that electricity comes out of the socket. After all, when I make any vaguely technical statement to support my point you ignore it as if I offered you the plague.

    The people griping to legislators aren't either. They're more the making sure that bonuses and dividends come out of the customers type.

    And of course, my payment for their services should not increase. They are making due with the current one, surely they'll do with it in the future.

    You're not even listening. I was quite clear that there is justification to split the billing for grid services from billing for power. The former can probably be similar to the 95th percentile billing for network traffic. The average non-solar customer should see no difference.

    No, I'm resuming that if they can deal with things that can only be predicted on a rough statistical basis like power poles being knocked down, they can deal with things that can be predicted reasonably well in the short term like the shadow path of a cloud going overhead.

    It is clear that you have made your mind up that solar is evil and no force on heaven or earth can ever change your mind, including the distinct lack of burning transformers in rich neighborhoods. I might as well go to the nearest serpent handling poison drinking church and share the evidence for evolution with them.

    If, on the other hand, you just mean they are prepared to deal with it, then there's your answer! Just be prepared to deal with it when the clouds drift lazily by and cause an actually predictable change in PV output across the area.
