  1. Complacentcy on Explosion at Scaled Composites Kills 2, Injures 4 · · Score: 3, Insightful

I work with munitions both guided and unguided with the AF, General Purpose Bombs and Guided Missiles, More then likely just complacentcy was the factor, hardly ever is there an accident with explosives that takes place that doesn't involve that factor. This day and age explosives are not as fragile as Nitro once was, it takes a hell of alot to set them off. Even with the solid rocket motors of the missiles the tech data states that a spark of static electricity could set them off however after working with them long enough you learn to respect the potential there but also know what you can and can not do with them. But in the end they will find a scapegoat and blame it on someone or a group of people to help keep the heat off themselves.

  2. Because in the end users are stupid on RansomWare Disassembly Reveals Evolutionary Path · · Score: 1

Most virus and trogen work because no matter how much awareness you put out there, in the end you can not increase the intelligence of people. People are still going to click on those links, still going to download their 'free' porn and still utilize p2p networks where these people can just fish with shotguns in. And lets say a corporate employee does some of this at work, gets this virus then half their companies documents are held hostage more then likely they are going to pay up $300 to hurry and get the fix. If you notice the main payload of this was programmed to reap the most monetary value within 5days, the file was compiled on 5 July released on 10 July and demanded payment on 15 July. Any employee who values their job and does non-authorize web surfing on work computer who jump at the chance to hurry and cover their tracks. I hope this was comprehensible it's pretty late here and very sleepy. Damn /dot

I think that title might be held by the Linksys BEFSR41 V.4 router that damn thing gets worst with each firmware upgrade that is supposed to fix the current crappiness. I had to revert back to the original factory firmware (after a few days of tracking it down) to even get P2P working again without the damned router disconnecting my Network connections to my PC.
