Sigh. Anyone can claim to be an archiologist and talk about how accurate carbon dating is. Just like anyone can claim to be a nuclear engineer and explain why it isn't.
Carbon dating, from the reports I've read is only accurate at more than 5,000 years and less than 80,000. They say this because at about 80,000 years, quite a few organisms are just plain out of C-14. The reason they say over 5,000 is that it's been shown to be way off at less than that. Read the story of when a family dug up their cat and sent it to the lab to be carbon dated? 14,000 year old cat ancestor they were told. How about when they carbon dated a living organism and found it to be 3,000 years old.
So they solved this by saying carbon dating is for over 5,000 years only. Thus making it physically impossible to prove or disprove, just like evolution itself.
Believe evolution if you want, just remember it's a theory. An evolving one at that.
I almost agree with you. The reason Monopoly is considered a zero sum game is that the players are competeing for land, not money (check the rules) and land is a limited resource. I think what needs to be done is that someone needs to invent a game like monopoly, except with unlimited resources. You can still plot against each other, but when all the land is bought, you can just build some more. (Be a tough game board to put together...)
If putting some sheet metal in the evelope works, then how far can we take this? What if I make a lead mold and put that on the evelope? Or if I can "strap it to a brick" why can't I duct tape the return envelope to an abandoned car? How much is the per ounce mailing cost of a 64' Skylark, anyway?
