Listen (not lisen) you 12-year old little wanna-be, you have the gall to come in here as an Anonymous Coward and insult ME of being a "petty little troll"? And where in the world did you ever learn a word like petty? Was your dad in your room helping you "flame" me? If there had only been one or two mis-spellings in your original post, I never would have replied. And if there had been some sort of intelligent and meaningful flame from you, I probably wouldn't have written this, but kid, you have provoked me again!

When ending a sentence on one line and continuing it on another, it is customary to use three periods in succession at the end of the first line and at the beginning of the second line. This I will let go, because I'm sure that's not taught in elementary school. What I will NOT let go of though, is the fact that you mispelled other words throughout this last post AND you even called Slashdot "./". Come on!! Are we gonna have to bring in your English Teacher to proof-read your dad now?? That's gonna get embarassing!!

Well, that's all for me. Time to troll another forum...

You know what infuriates me? People who get all high and mighty and start prophecizing about intelligence, yet don't have the common sense to run a spell check on their postings before hitting the Submit button. Did you realize you mis-spelled sequence? TWICE? Do you understand the concept of a capital letter at the beginning of a sentence? Do you understand that the only homo-sapiens who actually USE "leet-speak" are either social misfits or graduates of the Raymond Babbitt School of Memory and Techno-Babble (and if you understand that...yea!)?

Please don't bother posting again until you either graduate from elementary school or your parents proof-read it first...

...for the XBOX. Hey, if companies keep putting out dreck like this, the XBOX will have no competition. I know, I know, this is Slashdot! "You can't pull for Micro$oft!!" Well, not only am I a Slashdot fan, but I'm also a tech junkie. And when something cool and unique hits the shelves, I'm all over it. And if any of you other geeks can honestly say that the XBOX doesn't intrigue you...well you just haven't pulled those Coke-Bottle blinders from your eyes.

Hey, no biggy to me. The more geeks that DON'T buy the XBOX and all the games, the easier it's going to be for me to find em...

Did you catch the scene where they were trying to figure out who had shot the first "player"? Mulder was saying, "Can you bring up the 'wire-frame?" and "Now can you 'texture-wrap' it?" Everyone was staring at him like he was from another planet (has that been dis-proven yet). Even the programmers were like, "Duh, who is this guy? That was a great idea!!" The show was definitely not up to par with their other "tech" related shows. I can't wait to see the episode about the AI gone wrong again! THAT one ROCKED!!

I too have been noticing this disturbing trend. I am an avid game player and I frequent a number of regular and forum style game sites. If anyone shows any lack of skill or ability, the player is labeled as a newbie or a llama and, in most cases, torn a new one. Sometimes this occurs just because the person asks a game-play type question. I read a series of posts that were pulled off of USENET and the gist of the threads were that a new player was asking how a player in a game made a longer than average jump. He got answers in the form of simple explanations and a lot of bashing. He then replied by stating that he didn't understand, and that he really thinks that this guy was cheating. More abuse with no straight answer. He finally got fed-up, posted his dismay once more only to receive a barrage of profanity so foul that his mother (the original poster was a very young boy) replied to the group very angrily and told them that she was going to write a tyrade to the webmaster at dejanews. I applaud this woman for her stand-upedness(?) however misguided and useless it may be. I can only hope that this type of abuse becomes a thing of the past in these forums. I think if the mediation in sites improved and people are warned and/or booted for useless profanity or just plain abuse, that the trend would be swayed in the opposite direction. People who post (I can only speak for 'young', caucasian males) like to hear themselves speak. If they keep getting booted for what they say, they will eventually tone it down or stop posting altogether.

Or is the copy of Easy Rider the only place you've experienced heavy iron? They are the most beautiful looking and sounding machines on the road, and they make rice rockets look like toys. I don't mind a well made European "super" bike, but kindly get those red-necked, "watch me as I do 150 through traffic", Kenny Robert wanna-be's off of my already death-defying freeways. I already have to contend with idiots in 4-wheel vehicles!! At least HD and BMW riders know the rules of the road and have an ounce of courtesy, and brains.

I have been waiting for this game for the last 2 years (has it been THAT long??), so it really does pain me that they are pushing the release again. It would have been worse to have gotten this game, installed all FOUR CD's and found out that there's unplayable portions of the game because of numerous bugs. I think Blizzard's got tremendously large cajones for holding off until it's right. Plus, with this not coming out till early 2K, I'll be able to spend all my waking hours on Opposing Forces!!
