You should have read the law.

Actually, there is a nearly identical law project already in course in Brazil. They may have been inspired in it.

When you pirate music, you are stealing from the artist who slaved to create it for you.
Well, when we recall that an average 4% of the income goes to the artists, we see that is not from the artists we are stealing.
Who steals from them is MPAA... :-)

Who had talked about logic? The matter is juridical, and anyone knows that lawyers aren't logical :-)
Besides that, there are precedents about similar matters (if you put your fence 5m farther than it should be, and pay taxes about this, so it is allowed)

  6. Resistence is futile :-) on Moving From Tech Into Management? · · Score: 1

I was a technical-manager, just like you are to be. I think, among the biggest challenges, there is the trend to make all the work. The manager must divide the work among the team-mates (yes, the manager should be in the team, not above it).
I was overworked, and my team-mates not. I was a bad manager, so. This error I won't make again (there is a lot of new errors...).

    Good luck!

Remember the "quantic computer"? I find such agencies are natural candidates for acquiring one, when available. The implosion of these agencies will be consequence of the evolution of humankind, through the walk beyond the nowadays "order of things" (the extreme exploit of the so-called "3rd World" by the so-called "1st World", for example). When domination is not necessary, NSA will be obsolete.

If one is killed by a hammer (in other persons hand, of course :-) is the hammer manufacturer responsible by this crime? What if the murder was by a gun (pistol, shotgun, ....)? Or a chainsaw? Well, this is a polemical issue. But the truth and justice must be between the opposite sides of the question, I believe the Judge must examine each case separadelly.

Perhaps to change the president isn't enough. The society's paradigms on democracy may have to be changed, to avoid the same economical groups to control the US and world president after president. Looking deep inside the "democracy" we may see a central power pretending to act democratically. Acts like this only enforce the belief of an anti-democratic democracy. Lets open our eyes!

  12. Sub milimeter? How "sub"? on Manyfold Universe Theory · · Score: 1

I heard about another(?) theory proposing the existence of many dimensions "confined" (or somehow "tied") within a Planck space (the amount of space measured by a Planck Constant, a very, very, very small number) (I heared about this space being some kind of "quantum of space") Is this new theory (many dimensions within sub-milimeters) related with the older (many dimensions within Planck space) ???

The "science" in some ways took the place Religion used to have in people's mind. Unfortunatelly, most non-technical people tend to repeat the "scientific"(or "holy") words without thinking about them; so do the non-technical press, and so on.
