It would be nice if the engorgement just printed money for themselves but they don't. They allow the creation of money through an issuance of debt. So they take a loan in order to "print that money." A loan that carries a nice safe profit for the granting private or sovereign entity. If you get your hands on enough cash you can loan the government money...it pays very well.

True...I came up in a family business who's livelihood was preparing tax returns and navigating the rivers of regulations and caveats for businesses and individuals. The slightest whiff or hint of tax reform in light of simplifying sends shivers and chills across these peoples' bodies. You and I assume it will never happen but they take any of this talk VERY seriously. I remember a little hub-bub in the 80's about tax reform to simplify the code and my grandmother (owner of the business) totally freaked and started positioning herself to lose her business.
Fair Tax....I have analyzed this and it is perfectly workable. The government would have to give up on collecting all of that juicy data and it would disrupt the system...stuff the people don't care about but are things the government treasures--and we allow.
Corporations or the wealthy do not pay taxes and are in no danger of an audit. You pay the corporations' and wealthy peoples' taxes when you buy shit...it is all wrapped up in the price before sales taxes. So, you are paying sales taxes on the income taxes you pay for these people you claim are afraid of being audited. I owned my own business, my dad and I would sit around joking how our customers paid all of our taxes...the rest was just funny math and numbers on paper with cute labels next to them to fool the plebeians.
Your first step should be to get your head out of your ass. Income taxes are one of the biggest corruptions of government and nations...and one of the main reasons why aliens wont talk to us.
I love how we get caught up using our brain power here to rant about IRS and partisan conspiracies when there is a truly messed up system (government tax code, IRS) that needs eliminated and replaced. I think both sides can agree on this. Though, perhaps this was manufactured by the DNC to make their base defend the IRS because I'm certainly seeing that, and the MO fits the typical imperial technique of making a group with common interests fight each other. We don't need the IRS to pay taxes...and if you insist that we do it should be an IT organization that is nearly invisible to us whereby 200million a year would be more than enough to fund the whole thing. How many companies serve more traffic and store more data than the IRS for less money in IT expense? I don't know, but I think it would be an interesting study. Having people traveling around auditing people and businesses is archaic at best and wholly ridiculous...I would not be surprised if they pulled up with a horse and buggy. There are better ways to levy and collect taxes...but if you stop and think about it the current system for all of its loopholes gives the government power and lots of personal data. That is what they really want. Anyone with half a brain knows sales taxes are a fool proof way to collect government revenue without all of the administrative overhead and "loopholes."
It only takes a few arrogant, know-it-all, elitist assholes to run people off. IT infrastructure and development are loaded with these assholes...and they generally make it hell for everyone. These assholes treat me nice but I see them treat others like shit repeatedly--and I hate it. Sprinkle in a bit social interaction awkwardness (especially with females) and I can see why women wouldn't want to live and work in these shops. Hell, I'm wondering if I can even take seeing it anymore...and I'm an insider.
Irrational love of hard copies. We have no control over hard copies and they are a fleeting, vulnerable medium. Get it in the computer where it can be stored, replicated, secured, and indexed.

Agreed....lived in Hillsboro, Ohio for years while my wife and I attended college (Southern State Community College). Cheap living, cheapest tuition in the state, and a good community college (it is really up to you how good your education is). Their math department is top notch allowing students to gain advanced math skills far in excess of major university requirements--led by Jon Davidson. Jon has even developed his own textbooks for the math classes because he hates the text books from the major publishers. It made the math studies fun and easy if you applied yourself.
You can often see it coming though. If it isn't a STEM program with government funding and the number of students seeking the degree is very low you can expect it to be killed. Just make sure there is a good solid student population seeking the program.
These agreements do break down, I have seen it happen. In the case I witnessed the students just lost out and there was no recourse. Talk about pissed off students.

What is the value in taxing income at that point? Why not tax purchases to reward savings and give people a choice?
