  1. Technology, Disneyland, Orlando on Orlando and the Tragedy of Technology · · Score: 1
I lived and worked in Orlando for 2 years. I went to college there for Digital Media. I have first hand experience with the effects of Disney Land (which will be referred to from now on as "The Mouse") on Orlando and the surrounding areas

If you want to see how much the mouse has effected people and landscaping just drive west on I-4 from Orlando to Tampa. Pay close attention to the High-Tension electric poles....THEY ARE IN THE SHAPE OF MOUSE EARS!!!

Also, if you are a resident of FL you can get the custom mouse liscense plates from the State of Fl, remember that these are legal liscense plates and not a souvenir.

Disney even has their own laws and the park is governed separately from the actual city of Orlando. They have their own laws, their own fire department. I know this first hand. A friend of mine got pulled over by the mouse land police, who by the way have mouse ears included as part of their badges. My friend was going 65mph in a 60, and his ticket was somewhere around $95, that was to be paid to the mouse and not the city of Orlando. When he went to pay the ticket at the mouse land police station, it was a replica of the castle in the Magic Kingdom. Isn't that taking it a bit too far.

Anyway, if you get away from the mouse long enough to enjoy Orlando for what it is. (a party town) I think that you will have a good time. If you get the chance Katz, try to make your way up to the corner of University Blvd. and SR 436 and stop by the Orlando Ale House. Go in order a beer or whatever you like to drink, and get the Chicken Nacho's to eat. When you are done eating, get all GQ'ed out and make your way downtown on Orange Ave. and hit the clubs. If I can suggest one it would be Firestone or Zuma Beach. Trust me, if they are still the hoppin places that they used to be you will have a good time.

    -have fun in O-Town

  2. what was the article about I don't remember on Linkage between Cell-phone Usage and Long Term Memory Loss · · Score: 1

I don't use my cellphone anymore....partially because when I need it I can't remember where I last put it. And no one ever calls me on my cell, patially because I can't remember the number, and I can't remember how to display the number....can someone help?

  3. I am afraid on A Post-Columbine Halloween Horror Story · · Score: 1

To be honest I am reluctant to even make a post to this atricle. Comments about learning things from horror movies on television, the Colorado shootings??? Sometimes I wish that people would understand that people that kill someone didn't do it because of the voices in their head told them to...they did it because their finger was on the trigger. As far as giving this kid a perfect score on a poorly written gramatically incorrect essay goes - I remember when I was in high school...spelling and grammer always counted. Are those rules out the window these days? I look at this from all points of view....the government is attacking this kid for doing what the teacher asked him to, and they punished him for being creative. That's not right, but I am not an elected opfficial, and never will be. force_VinNy http://www.computer-gfx.com PS - I never claimed to be a grammer or spelling expert so don't hold my paragraphs and other stuff against me :)

  4. Matrix films on More Info on Matrix Sequels · · Score: 1

As far as two more Martix films go, I am totally down with that. The only thing that I am worried about (as a few other readers have noted) is the content of the next films. Because I am a graphic designer I enjoy films with dazzeling, hard to do, special effects, but more importantly plot and direction. I hope that the next two films do not play on the wants of the uneducated mass of movie goers. I think that George Lucas did it best by making the Star Wars films a story within a story. If all the Martix films as a whole tell one big story , and each film is a story within itself, then cudos to the directors/writers/producers on making a great trilogy. I think that the next two films will be big money makers, I just hope that they have a great story line, dazzeling special effects, and keep all of us computer / cyber geeks on the edge of our seats. force_VinNy http://www.computer-gfx.com
