What would your response be to the bully on the playground? Bend over?
If the bully were Apple, many Apple fans like SuperKendall wouldn't think twice before bending over and taking it without even as much as asking for lube.
What? You are experiencing to much friction? iFucking does not requier lube. You are bending over wrong.
Because they have a computer and can make use Google to go the the interwebs. They are fully capable of watching cat videos on The Youtube and are fully versed on the pros and cons of PC vs iPhone. Also, they have a brother who is a hacker on counter strike.
He does not have to be a moron. He could be one of the many people I have met of around average intelligence with out enough tech knowledge to fill a thimble. You know the people. He probably got here by typing "slashdot.org" into Google and clicking on the first link.
Design patents are intended to distinguish a product so licensing them makes no sense
While absolutely correct, you should add that since No one has bought a Samsung phone thinking it was an iPhone that suing over the design patents equally makes no sense.
Let's just have an official monopoly on cell phones. Then the government could suppress competition directly and completely, instead of this piecemeal price raising done through patents.
Funny. Raised 2 so far. Have not ever had one take a hair dryer into the tub or shower and be saved by GFCI.
That might be because my children were taught common sense. Before they were able to learn that they did not have access to electrical devices that pulled mass amounts of current to heat coils till they turned red. Of course that was just the way we decided to do it. You can leave devices like that out for your children and hope that GFCI saves the day. I choose parenting.

I believe that not much happens of any significance when we're in our comfort zone. I hear people say, "But I'm concerned about security." My response to that is simple: "Security is for cadavers.
He is talking about your own personal comfort zone. Of course you either already knew that or were you just ignorantly posting stuff you heard but never understood?
Of course I still do not like GoDaddy. I just dislike liars even more.
I have a teenage daughter, a wife, me, my deaf in laws all living under one roof. We have 3 computers, 2 iPads, an Asus transformer Prime, 3 android smartphones, 2 internet connected TVs, PS3 and a Wii online and most of the time one of those deaf people are talking to someone on video relay. I can burn through some bandwidth.
Not true. If you find yourself dealing with a company that fixes the things you disclose in a timely manner then just throwing exploits out and sitting back with your popcorn trying to see if the hackers can fuck the public over before the company can fix it then you are just a dick.
You do realize that Bain Capital made most of its money by finding companies that were in trouble. They then figured if there was a way they could save them. They would then purchase the company at a deep discount and then turn the company around for a massive profit. If it did not work then they would try to get what they could back from the company before it died.
They did not always do "best for the employee" stuff but the did invest in troubled assets and try to save them. For profit of course.
Most of the companies that filed under Bain were companies that were doing badly when they were purchased.
I know you are being sarcastic but the update to the building code to require GFCI plugs in the bathroom has saved thousands of lives. Deaths by electric shock in the US have dropped from about 500 a year in 1960s to around 150 now days despite a population increase
So you are saying that around 350 people a year that were too stupid to live before 1960 have been allowed to breed since then.
I am sure this has done much to make our country better.
We should always strive to limit the freedom of the good and responsible people to protect the stupid, the evil and the ignorant. It has worked well so far. Look at the number of hairdryer in the shower deaths we have prevented. Also. People who can not legally own a gun are unable to commit gun crimes. Life is good and fair.
But no one should EVER be paying full price. That's like walking into a car dealership and handing them the sticker price in cash.
I have done almost that twice. Walk in. Offer sticker out the door. No tax or Lic. No fees. No extras. Will write a check for the Sticker amount. Make it clear in the beginning that I will walk out over 1 cent. They still make a decent profit. I pay a decent price and I am done in an hour. Best way to buy a car in my opinion.
While private corps screw up all the time there are a few differences. 1) You are not forced to deal with a particular private company. If one gets a bad rep people can avoid it. 2) It almost has to be a public employee to get the right to go to lunch at a time like that. Yay Public Employee unions. 3) The upside is it will be free to some people. (Not free though. overall costs will go up for a specific level of service.)
The difference between Obamacare and Romneycare? The US is supposed to be about States. The Federal government was to be there to give a unified face to the outside and to ensure freedom of travel and commerce between the States. Different states could be wildly different and if you did not like it you could just move. With Obamacare if you do not like it you must renounce your US citizenship and move to a foreign country.
You can still like or dislike the federal health care mandate if you want to, those are just some facts about the differences to chew on.
Maybe you run a web server from your house that gets 12 hits a day. Or. Maybe you run something for a company that just gives you all the cash you request. For everyone else forcing HTTPS is not "simple".

unless you can find a remote exploit to subvert an installed phone.
Like, ummmm, I don't know .... tftp or something????
I still think that MUDs were/are some of the best gaming out there. Followed closely by Battlefield 3 and Minecraft. :)
Like the one in the US?
I just saw a study on how damaging oxygen is to our environment and our bodies.
Horrible stuff oxygen.

Engineers do not weld.
They use a computer to let others know that they need to weld those two pieces of steel together.

So you are a troll or are you too stupid to have ever known about a thing called a PDF?
Funny.
