So a good friend of mine works for the phone company here in my region. His attitude toward net neutrality is the same as the "former"CEO. I can understand their side of the story though.
Let's say that your company spent BILLIONS of dollars rolling out new Fibre across the nation and then you were told that you cannot charge for access to that net? Deregulation isn't always a bad thing but in this case i think it will destroy many a business that can't or won't pay to play with the big-boys.
Call your reps my fellow Americans, this is still our country!
So as a parent who does have a child of the impressionable age i can agree that dropping the F-Bomb whenever possible in primetime is really not a good idea.
On the other hand if you change the channel you are subjected to more violence and sexual behavior by just watching the evening news.
If the news covers a story about the middle east or what the celebs are doing how is that "decent"?
Why does the religious right think that they have the right to tell me what is appropriate?
I like to think that i'm an intelligent individual who can make the best decisions about how i raise my child and the reality is.... the words shit and fuck are used quite often (especially here in Boston heh...www.townienews.com )

I am a pretty good technician in my own opinion and I have used Linux on occasion. There is nothing wrong with linux but it is not for the average user!
Most people buy software that they find at a retail store and you can bet your butt that it won't support linux
If my mother wants to install something she can do it without issue (well mostly)on windows and it will be integrated into her OS without her having to have a degree in CS.
