I am also more than welcome to change the friggin' file format. If Lucas is so concerned about keeping the quality up he shouldn't put it on the net in a format that everyone on the net can't view.
I don't really understand how changing the file format the trailer is in is "bastardizing" it. The only reason it's in Quicktime in the first place is because Lucas has deals with Apple. None of this stuff has anything to do with "art". I mean all Lucas is concerned about is money, that's it, nothing less and nothing more.
I work for an Hosting farm and we use Solaris, Linux, and NT. Let me tell you, you need thousands of NT servers clustered together to get the same stabilty you would get from one Linux box. I have cycle all of our NT boxes at least once a day. The only time I ever reboot the linux boxes is for kernel/hardware upgrades.
Have you ever ran a old window 3.1 app on win95, It's the same concept. With the win 3.1 apps you can't use long file names, fancy dialog boxes and stuff like that. There's not much point in upgrading all your severs and such to Win2k if your not going to use apps that take advantage of all the new bloat.
I am all for freedom of speach and all that crap, but I'd rather have/. trim all the fat and pointless comments. If not, all/. will become is a another usenet disaster.

Does any one know if Oracle 8i is compatible with DBD::Oracle?
