> he 51xxs had user-replaceable custom faceplates, something nobody else has done before or since.
You really haven't been out much, have you? My Kyocera has a "user-replaceable" faceplate that comes in a couple colors. Custom? Well, you could pay someone to paint & clearcoat it. That would be customized just like the Nokia one, so I don't think I know what you are talking about.
I'm sure "licenses" on these games are different than software, but couldn't you, arguably, just use your original as your "backup" copy and then copy all your games to a larger MMC card? If you could copy them at all (there really isn't security on them).
You really are friggin' stupid, aren't you? That's not a dupe. This is an actual review from gameindustry.biz, the other is about N-Gage & the Phantom. Get a fucking clue.
Yes, I am one of the few who have seen it. It's terrible! You can't see the ceiling it's so high, and there's a giant ball of fire up there that makes your eyes hurt. I prayed to it to relieve my eye pain, but it would not answer, so I don't think it's a god or anything.
> hy can't you try changing things from the inside instead?
1. "Wow, good point" was my initial reaction. 2. Then, "Wait, he'd probably get fired for speaking up like that" 3. On the up side, however, he could then collect unemployment, so at least his family won't starve.
> This does not make me decadent or immoral. (I have no chlidren..)
Excellent, I applaud you. If you make a point of yourself and follow your principals, I salute you. My problem comes when people expect others to do this, or do this themselves at the cost of their family.
> > when he's taken away by Social Services because you can't pay for food and are living on the streets. > I tended to assume that the USA was a modern, civilised society
So, wherever you live, if a child is starving because their parent "had a point to prove" and quit their job, the government doesn't care? Thankfully, I live in the U.S.
> Because if the media were liberal than these would be OVER-reported
Except that these are not news, they are lies & speculation (mostly the latter). Regardless of whether you think the "media" slants to the left or right, (or, *GASP* neither) they won't put out crap like this that has very little basis in fact.
I don't care what fucking day it is, it's just the date. "Anniversaries" are only "special" to those who think a certain date is the same from year to year. That said, thise trite bullshit "article" should not have been posted on this site EVER. The fact that it's 9/11(/2003, not 2001) has no bearing on the matter.
It's not "news for nerds" by any stretch of the imagination and only matters to those who believe in vast conspiracies.
> How to ruin a flourishing economy -accomplished-
WHAT? The economy started sliding quickly into the shithole before Bush even won the PRIMARY elections.
As for foreign policy? Well, yeah, but I don't think it would be appropriate to say "manage a bumbling foreign policy," as there is very little managing involved. It's more like "How to ignore a nonexistent foreign policy."
> He was a egomaniacal psychopath who branded anyone who stood in his way as a communist.
Wow, what ignorance. I'm glad then (from your nick) that you're "Not a Yank," cuz we don't need any more stupid people in my country! Egomaniac, maybe, but he was fucking brilliant. We have about 50% egomaniacs on/. ferchristsake!
Psychopath? I don't know where you get that from, except possibly the idea that we should detonate an H-Bomb in Alaska to form a new bay for improved transportation... OK, yeah... that psychopath.
BUT my main argument is the communist point. He accused one person of being a communist sympathizer. The kicker? HE FUCKING WAS, you dolt. He ID'ed him CORRECTLY, and even later said that he himself should not have testified against Oppenheimer (does that sound like an egomaniac to you?).
I should have been more specific in my retort. I wasn't arguing that it wasn't illegal, but the original poster said:
> the law actually does say it's stealing
The law does NOT say that it is "stealing." The law says it is illegal copyright infringement. Yes, this is arguably semantics, but I don't like the insinuation that people sharing music are the same as shoplifters or petty thieves. We are infringers -- more classy.;)
> I dropped from about $94K to $78....and thought that hurt.
You're fucking complaining about making 78 grand a year? I'd shove hamsters up my ass for 78 grand a year (hell, maybe for free, after the first year:). Christ, man, not everyone can afford a new Beemer every year. I just bought a "new" car... It's a '94 Olds! Of course, I could easily afford a new Sunfire (oh yay, MUCH better ), but they wouldn't *&#$ing sell it to me because of lack of credit. What bullshit.
I'll admit that I don't live in Silicon Valley or anything, but cost of living here probably is considerably more than 1/3 of CoL where you live.
> what if someone photocopied, say, your credit card info, or your social security card, would you care then?
They aren't necessarily breaking the law by copying that information. There are EXISTING LAWS to take care of people who "traffic" in identity theft (although they don't necessarily work).
Yes, your post makes sense. I never said I have animosity towards corporations, but I just don't care about them. Yes, corps only exist because people run them, but when those people make decisions that claim I am evil for doing something normal and not immoral, then I have a problem with them.

Ah yes, jail. Then you ENSURE your family has no income.

If you don't know who Chrisd is now, you can't give out too much "rejection."

2. Then, "Wait, he'd probably get fired for speaking up like that"

> doesn't mean they can't judge people based on their past actions.
Chris, however, isn't basing on their actions. He is basing this on the actions of the person's former employer.

So, about 1.5%.
> Alpha and beta radiation do cause harm when absorbed by live cells
No shit. Good thing we're talking about depleted uranium, which isn't radioactive.

That's a pretty brash accusation! How do you know that Senator Bill Frist smokes pot?

Maybe that's why Elcomsoft's Skylarov (sp?) was arrested... A case of mistaken identity!

Thanks for the link, though.

What law says that?

Touche', although I don't think a lot of people will understand what you are implying.

Hey, I don't talk about my private life, so don't tell me to go do some sick, twisted shit like you do!

You need a reality check. Most people do, in fact.
I make less than 2/3 that and I live comfortably enough.
> The father of the internet must have some mp3s afterall
Yeah, but he's friggin' rich enough to buy a copy of every CD ever produced...three times. And he's dumb enough to do it to (IMO).
