I use AWS and I think it's a pretty good service overall. They seem keen to answer a lot of the security issues people have.
What I have been noticing though is more and more people saying they are blocking Amazon AWS IP addresses because of various attacks that are originating from the service. I am concerned that this may cause some serious issues down the line (not so much for me but for others).
Other than that, in the run up to Christmas, it was not unusual to attempt to launch instances to have the API inform that no more instances were available. Luckily, that application was not mission critical. Cause for concern though.
Good luck on getting that anyway. Here, they don't even use the paint with the reflective balls in it. Hence road markings disappear with a little rain. The roads are pretty good otherwise though.
What they do have is... An SD card. Just drop a gig or two for a FAT partition. They also have ethernet and wifi (with a dongle).
Printing is another issue and would potentially have limitations but could be largely overcome. Select printers for direct connect (Both HP and Brother have apps to print from my android device) or an application to be run on a full desktop. Or simply plug in the SD card (on compatible printers) and select the exported PDF for printing.
Definitely plan to check out RiscOS on the PI at some point. But the OS would be largely irrelevant for what I was suggesting (meaning probably RiscOS would be the one to go for).
I was just thinking this would be something a Raspberry Pi would be perfect for.
In fact, if Wordperfect was still around in a reasonable condition, they could just sell the complete package in a box (just add keyboard and monitor). Or they could just sell the SD card.
Reminds me of one night I was up late and an animation from 1960s Russia came on. It was basically white outline squares moving in various patterns all over the screen. Clearly it was hand animated and probably was many months of work for the animator. Could have been done in an hour or two using modern techniques
Or when periods are, in fact, decimal places (and related to that, when it is used as the thousands separator.). Also, does punctuation count as part of the words or part of the space in between?
Of course, when the internet did it, it recognized immediately that numbers were a terrible way to refer to a target for human beings and invented hostnames.
If it didn't, my xbox might actually be in use instead of gathering dust somewhere. Instead it's the Wii-U (that I'm not especially impressed with) that sits out front getting the attention. Great move, Microsoft.
These people *are* often concerned with resell value though (which is why we have so many dull colored cars on the roads at the moment). Let them know that this unupgradeable, obsolete-in-6-months crapfest will make their vehicle harder to sell and they'll avoid it.
Carbon fiber as used is a composite material. The carbon fiber itself provides strength but needs to be contained in a matrix. Usually this is a resin but in this case would be a plastic.
Take your webcam (if it's an external USB), swing it around and smack it on the desk a few times. Maybe it still works. That's what you're asking these electronics (and in the case of your suggestion, optics) to deal with.

Are they Amazon Prime eligible?
Though Pratchett himself started out on a ZX81.

Hmm. I may have to try plugging in my usb floppy drive now...

True enough.
Someone who had never actually seen a picture of George RR Martin, presumably.

It's OK. It doesn't count.

That was true in most student houses I used to visit.
And that was pre-cellphones.
Stats skewed by Saul Goodman and Michael Westen.
Sometimes it's good to recognize when you dodged a bullet.
I doubt the veracity of that as it doesn't specify a penis shaped bicycle.

Most phones used to have an antenna socket. Maybe some still do.

He doesn't want to give more of his money away otherwise he just would. He wants the government to take more of other peoples money.
If he's an executive, the shareholders should fire him. Though he probably has some sweet golden parachute deal.
Yeah. Just ask Jean Charles de Menezes or Harry Stanley
