My understanding is that advanced maths becomes almost exclusively symbol manipulation. I could intuit a lot of physics stuff and easily attach equations to concepts but when it came to the quantum stuff, it was a totally different story. That could have just been the way it was taught though.
Actually, I agree. The last few times I've used MS Office help, typically for the Excel functions, the results have been pretty facepalm-worthy. It used to be pretty good though.
Incidently, the best lecturers would write on the blackboard and work through their proofs. The worst ones (in general*) would use transparencies or, later, powerpoint.
*There was one really bad prof who would use the blackboard.
I used to write out my physics lectures pretty much verbatim. Of course, my handwriting is awful so much of the prose was unreadable but I had better recall of what I had written down than if I didn't and equations and constants were always given a little extra attention to actually be readable.
Typically it's the other way around. You don't use grease because it binds up with the metal dust from wear. Hence graphite (though I believe there are other better lubricants).
Couldn't help but your second paragraph came through with a distinct fake French accent. All it needed was a "Listen carefully, I will say this only once"
I believe he's talking about someone who was born into a scene of angriness and greed, dominance and persecution. Whose mother was a queen, father was never seen and was never meant to be. Yeah...
Perhaps. Especially since I should really have been comparing with plastic bags since I was comparing about paper bags. My point, however, is that you have to compare those "externalities" everyone is always talking about and that it may not just be about how much are consumed but how they are consumed.
In the physical world, its expression (pi is always constant, of course*) is also affected by gravitational curvature and possibly other effects.
*For some values of "of course"

Oh, never mind. It's been one of those days...
Irony, more than just kinda like steely.
Does the bench also come with a towel and a bucket of water?
Since the title of this article was so obviously a hook, I'll go ahead and bite.
"Begun, the drone wars have"
Warm fuzzies mostly. Which is actually important for adoption.
Perhaps it could be done in the form of a Wiki. Or maybe Haiku. One or the other.
This is why Chewbacca lives on Endor.
I can't speak for others but I would say I got 98% of what got me my degree through lectures. I actually had very few books. (Physics).
Now, it seemed the law students got most of their learning by going to the library and *photocopying* books.

Tesla hater.
Two, actually.
vi/vim is not about being intuitive. It's about learning and being productive.
There are plenty of intuitive interfaces out there for you, many of them not particularly dumbed down.

And are worth every penny.

Don't worry, elections coming up at the end of this year. You'll soon have that beaten out of you.
If you like your concrete shelter, you can keep it.
It's a paraphrase of an old comment about war.

Yes, there are certainly no signals is who funds are received from or paid to. Not at all.
