    That's not snow though. A poor digital signal would give artifacts but it would be closer to raining Tetris blocks than snow.

    Indeed. And the other deal is that low voltage PSUs are basically a solved issue. Standard components and reference designs are freely available. You would have to go a long way out of your way to come up with something that's low quality or dangerous (though admittedly, some do seem to be able to).

    That apple think they can charge above average prices ($5-$10 tops) for their branded accessories is telling.

    Some of these games developers are looking at it the wrong way. They look at the variety of configurations, throw their hands up and say "We'll never make it work on this" (though Valve actually went through with it). The way to go is to build to a set of requirements you decide and then sort out the dependencies afterwards. It wouldn't be long before "steam-prerequestites" became a virtual package on Debian for example.

    Infinity might have been appropriate if it was referencing Bioshock Infinite. As in "We had all these things we wanted to do but had to backtrack them all and it's simply a rehash of what's come before".

    It can definitely be appropriate in some circumstances. I have a few apps that use UDP myself (though I'm usually not concerned about reliability at all).

    No, not in the common use of the term. But in terms of what TCP provides,

    If you need what TCP provides and you try and do it over UDP, you're just going to end up reinventing TCP.

    I hear that Valve are starting to release their games in shorter episodes which should have the added benefit of allowing more frequent releases.

    Because packets coming from another interface look like they're coming from a different device and will have a different 4-tuple.
