Think about how everybody learns to read and write in elementary school. They will learn to write in English (or Spanish, French, or whatever the native language is). But how many of those people ever go on to learn to be fluent in a second (or third, or fourth) language? Sure, many high school districts require a couple years of learning a foreign language, but in those two years, few people ever learn or even remeber more than how to say "Hello" and other basic phrases.
By weaning people on Python or any single language, many people will only use Python for the rest of their lives. Python is a good language, of course, but has its limitations. Also, these people will only be able to modify other Python programs to their needs, and would just shrug their shoulders at the vast majority of code written in C, C++, Perl, and other languages.
There seems to be people of all mental tints commenting on this thread: people who want serious info, people who want to laugh at funny posts, and people who want to laugh at trolls (amongst others, but these were the ones that caught my attention). I propose that each user be allowed to choose for himself what a positive trait is, and what a negative trait is.
In the User Preferences, have a list of every moderation point (Insightful, Informative, Funny, Flamebait, Troll, etc). Next to each one, let the user pick whether the moderation point should be worth -1, 0, or 1 points to the moderation total.
This way, people who only want "intelligent" posts can mark Funny, Troll, etc as -1, and have Insightful/Informative and friends marked as 1. People who only want to read the rantings of the broken people can do the opposite, if they wish.
By violating grammatical laws, you can really make Babelfish go berserk. Try "This is a run on sentence it is two sentences put together", and see what you get. It really makes me appreciate all those English lessons and drills I went through as a kid.

Funny as hell! I think it's already been on Slashdot, a couple days ago though.

After calcium becomes a big deal for health fanatics, AOL is quick to enrich all their products with calcium. After a year, Microsoft throws some calcium crystals into Microsoft Flakes(R), which are sharp and taste awful. Microsoft then attempts to convince the world that Microsoft Flakes(R) are the world's only source of calcium.
Both AOL-O's and Microsoft Flakes have this proprietary bowl, lid and tube, which prevents people from seeing the cereal or milk as it enters the bowl. It is against the license to try to reverse engineer the shape or texture of the cereal, or eat them without the lid.
AOL spends millions of dollars developing this super-enriched AOL Instant Milk (called AIM for short), which is provided free and supported by advertising on the milk cartons and boxes of AOL-O's. Millions of people start to use AIM.
Microsoft reverse-engineers the shape of AOL-O's, and makes Microsoft Flakes(R) compatible with AIM. But in order to use it, people must submit their name and addresses to Microsoft.
AOL, who has spent a lot of time teaching its new users to never give out your address to people like that, modifies AIM so it doesn't work with Microsoft Flakes(R).
Microsoft then decides that the lids should be taken off the bowls.
I say, they should have never been on in the first place. So I'll just stick to IRChex.:-)
I use junkbuster personally, but the problem with most ignorant schools and businesses is that they only use programs for what they say they're for.
They wouldn't touch junkbuster unless it was renamed "Open Source Web Patrol Nanny", and even then it would probably need a cute little puppy mascot before those sort of people considered it.:P
Sounds like the perfect call for an open source filter proxy. After all, if the source code were available to every user, they could do what they want with it, set up their own taboo lists, and not have to pay site licenses for this sort of bullshit. Maybe keep two different 'allow' and 'deny' lists, like tcpd does.
Oh, and while we're at it, we could make it strip off ad banners too.;-)

You can even get Windows 1.x! You can't say Microsoft hasn't made some progress.
