Actually, it wasn't part of either show, it was part of a show that aired on Cartoon Network from 1994 to 1999 called "Cartoon Planet", it was a show with weird songs, skits, and stories. And Brak was a main character on the show, whereas he never was on Space Ghost: Coast to Coast, sure he was in bit parts, but never a main character.
Wow, didn't know he wrote like that, Prince is one l33t d00d! I totally agree with the message behind it, but that is an incredibly annoying way of writing.
Well, if you click on the "Test AntiAdBlocker" link, you'll see why, the software is only supposed to detect if the user is running popup-blocking software, it doesn't do anything to get around popup-blocking software, and if they detect that you're running said software, they won't let you into the site.
I think it's pretty despicable myself, but if someone wants to use AntiAdBlocker, it's their right, just as it's my right to decide that I really don't care to visit that site anyway, and I don't think I'm the only one.
Well, the impression I get from it is that you are only bound to the MSN email TOS if you use MSN email. From the Customer Agreement:
Charter customers using MSN e-mail must also comply with MSN's Terms of Use. A copy of the MSN Terms of Use is found at http://privacy.msn.com/tou and is incorporated into this Agreement by reference.
So, as long as you don't use MSN e-mail, I don't see how you could be bound to the MSN terms of use, although, IANAL. You're right, though, it is funny that they even mentioned it, it's a little redundant, since you're obviously bound to the MSN email TOU if you use that service.
This is, of course, only applicable if you use MSN email or Hotmail. I'm a Charter Pipeline subscriber, and I noticed that they recently changed their default startpage to a cobranded MSN/Charter Pipeline portal, which I'm sure is why they mention it in the TOS.
> a) All British coffee is crap Well Gold Blend is basically the same thing as Taster's Choice in the US, at least from what I hear. Also, we're talking about instant coffee here, so the fact that it's crap is a given.
Yes, that's right, Anthony Stewart Head, who would later play Rupert Giles, the Watcher, and the Librarian for Sunnydale High School on Buffy, was the Taster's Choice guy. He also has a career in music and a recent album.
Bleh, sorry, meant to hit preview beforehand. The submit and preview buttons really should be further apart, it's a little too easy to hit the wrong button the way they are now..
"Actually, that's not true. The 20th century was the bloodiest in recorded history, more than 100 million were killed. Most in the name of atheism; via Stalin, Hitler, Mao Tse Tung, Pol Pot, etc."
In the name of atheism? Let's take a look at the definition of atheism, shall we.
atheism
n 1: the doctrine or belief that there is no God [syn: godlessness] [ant: theism] 2: a lack of belief in the existence of God or gods
Now, the second definition is the one I use when describing my atheism. I merely lack a belief in the existence of God or gods, now how would someone use their lack of belief to justify the slaughter of innocent human beings? I believe that these people, with possibly the exception of Hitler, did these things in the name of greed, not for atheism. It would be ridiculous to say that they killed in the name of Atheism, that'd be like saying that anyone who denies the nonexistence of unicorns, elves, or any other mythical creature should be slaughtered for their "heresy". Btw, Hitler publically stated many times his belief in the Christian God, so saying that Hitler killed in the name of Atheism seems a bit silly in light of the facts.
As a matter of fact, so is Linus. The following is a quote from the November 1999 issue of Linux Journal.
Margie: How about religion?
Linus: Hmmmm, completely a-religious -- atheist. I find that people seem to think religion brings morals and appreciation of nature. I actually think it detracts from both. It gives people the excuse to say, "Oh, nature was just created", and so the act of creation is seen to be something miraculous. I appreciate the fact that, "Wow, it's incredible that something like this could have happened in the first place." I think we can have morals without getting religion into it, and a lot of bad things have come from organized religion in particular. I actually fear organized religion because it usually leads to misuses of power.
I got the impression that it was a joke, though I may be wrong. It just didn't seem like many non-technical people would have any interest in the movie anyway, it's likely they were catering to us Geeks, as an in-joke. I remember other people saying the same thing here under a Jon Katz review when the movie was first released.

Okay, I just reread your post, and I realized you meant the sites he linked to, not anything on his site. Oh well, my mistake, sorry.
