    No kidding, plus the use of girly things that are such everyday items as waterproof clothes, rubber boots, bed linen, food, sunscreen lotion, and moisturizing cream is a good way to create a feminine boy by itself!

    Well, maybe not the food part. Although if you're just giving it to them and they aren't catching fish bare handed in a stream, sheesh.

    Why did he bring a personal computer into a government agency?

    Of course people flipped, I'm one of the few IT people at my small private business and I still get raised eyebrows from people when I bring company assets to my vehicle in order to transport to a different location. If I saw a regular staffer walking out with a machine that looked similar to one of mine, I'd shoot him. At least I would in Russia. In the States I might just throw a bunch of mouse balls on the ground a la Home Alone.

    I dunno man, living on an entirely different continent, I am very concerned over my IP being logged by viewing a few damn YouTube videos from Russia. I better install Tor as well and go down to Starbucks with a brand new netbook, just in case.

    Postini does a great job for me and is mainly hands off. My work domains get a lot of dictionary spam and once I switched from an in-house solution it's gone dramatically down. My time is better spent elsewhere, to hell with the blacklists and spam filtering software that I used to maintain.

    Why doesn't grey listing work? Many people that I regularly correspond with have grey listing setup and aside from the annoyances in my MTA logs, it works fine. A legit e-mail server will try again later.

    My two WinMo devices, both less than 2 years old and one with a community developed ROM, suck horribly compared to my 3G. Guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

    Thanks, I was worried that an obscure health app would do that. I now know that this isn't merely an attempt for you to get more hits, I was seriously worried that an app with a single review was busy stealing my data.

    I've looked over your bullet points, still wondering where it becomes useful, you really expect emergency personnel to launch your app and find the "emergency contact" ? This is great. Maybe next you can add a method for me to identify myself when my wallet isn't sufficient, wait you already did that...

    Surewest is happily ripping up the streets to provide fiber to people wanting to break outta the AT&T/Comcast duopoly. You're right that the last mile should be municipally owned, as long as any provider has access to it.

    Even in major metro areas, good luck. It's usually between the local telco and cable operator. If you're really lucky there's a third game in town and hopefully at least two of them service you. I'm so fed up with AT&T that I canceled their DSL and Comcast doesn't service my block (in the middle of a metro neighborhood), so I'm basically fucked.

    Sure you don't visit state parks in Washington, but then maybe you go visit one in California despite never buying an Apple product. One great thing about our nation is that we share and welcome each other. When you do visit a state park in Washington, you don't expect to be questioned about why you are allowed to be there.

    Cause they aren't necessarily the same tower? Your scenario makes perfect sense. Except that jailbroken has nothing to do with it and if you are getting 3G signal, that is your "regular network strength." It only degrades to EDGE if you can't get a 3G signal (which for my major metropolitan area, is nearly any building you walk into).
