  1. No interest in technology? on Playing With IT, And Why It Matters · · Score: 1

No interest in technology? That sounds like my ex-boss! Totally clueless and had absolutely no desire to educate himself. Yet somebody decided to put a clueless wonder like him in charge of making IT related decisions In an IT company I worked as a SysAdmin for last year. You want to talk about factors that adversely affect job performance? Wonder why he's my ex-boss? Wonder why the company is practically tits-up?

So we change one letter in the artist's name and guess what? That's right, that track won't show up on anybody's "naughty" list. They've created an impossible task by ruling that Napster must ensure that copyrighted material must not be exchanged knowingly. Maybe that's the key... change the name of the artist just enough that it can still be recognised by a human, but not by a machine (example: Oink Floyd-comfortably numb.mp3) and Napster cannot be realistically expected to determine with any certainty whether this is really copyrighted material or some unsigned "spoof artist", and it's business as usual.

What, do they think that no-one else is bright enough to write encryption software??? Another thought: Whats to stop one of his "friends" from burning him a CD and mailing it to him??? I know, I know thats illegal, but in case you haven't noticed these guys are already criminals!!! If Bin Laden or the Mob or anyone else wants encryption, an export ban is hardly going to stop them. That's right up there with my country's (Canada) recent dumbshit politician firearm registration legislation. Yeah right, all the criminals are going to rush down to the police station and register their guns. We don't need legislation restricting encryption, we need legislation restricting politicians.

You have to do a complete re-format and a clean install from scratch. Sony does also state that there is a specific order in which they need to be installed in.
