    You might also want to check the spelling on infringement, note the r after the f.

    Um... why should they have to spend $100? Last time I checked Linux and macs did not require programs to be signed.

    DRM: Limited in who can run it. (see BBC iplayer for an example of an OS dependent implantation). Must have the right hardware, software, ect.
    Watermarks: Anyone can run it.
    Whether it can be hacked around or otherwise... time will tell, but from a accessibility standpoint, at least its looking like anybody can at least play it. That has to count for something. If I have to accept restrictions, this is better then what we had before.

    The database dumps are static, and until more recent dumps are available, they will stay the same. So if George is ok now, he will be ok 12 hours from now.

    Errm, point me to a working fusion generator. (other then then stars and the like)... I don't think we have yet invented the wheel in this case.

    I'm confused, is this or is this not a derivative work. Several people above seem to have mentioned that it is a derivative work... Clarification would be great, and probably very useful.

    I saw this a while ago and the discussion was going on how unfair it was that dell was *not* giving a 50$ discount, now that there seems to be a discount** folks are saying how the discount is not worth anything. :S A lower price, if its true, is worth something though I would think. **Also note as other posters have above, the Ubuntu laptop is seemingly missing a battery, or the article has an omission.
