The technology for that is there... just have poles like the meter parking with an outlet on it that u swipe a card or whatever then plug in and park and have it charge u for the electricity while you're parked.
of course some sort of security would have to be used to keep people from stealing your power but a simple locking mechanism for the plug should do it.
but since batteries aren't there yet I'd say the best choice is their "Trybrid" Obvio runs off of electric AND Ethanol (E-100), Gasoline, or Natural Gas. and gets over 40mpg.
BUT if the Zap X CrossOver ever gets produced (although very expensive) it's suppsed to get 350 miles per charge although I'll admit it doesn't sound realistic.. but they do have Lotus working with them on it.
agreed... I have to say the only reason the US is over seas is because of energy...
if the rest of the world wants to shut us up and keep them out of their hair they should just give us plans for an easy never ending supply of renewable energy.
HOWEVER.. with a longer time line (as you suggest) it reads as a very good idea for reasons you already stated which I won't reiterate.
however 20 years would leave us before even windows 3.1
10 years would give us 95 to play with.. but admittedly since there are still features of windows 95 AND 3.1 in vista... maybe some secrets are still too new
I agree.. they should limit how long the RECORD COMPANY can hold the copyright... at end of said time limit it gets turned over to the artist (say 10 years)
If the artist is dead.. it goes public
as far as it going on past their life time... if the person is smart they made enough money with it and left some to their family in a will or trust or whatever (just like any other normal person has to do)
...so what about other copyrights?
I say they do the same for software.. but since the life expectancy of great software is shorter then great music lets say after 5 years software becomes public domain...
XP came out in 2001... so it should be public domain now
PS.. I realize the irony in using the word great software then jumping to XP...

What about the Zap Car
The Xebra and Zap Truck get 25 Miles per charge

right clicking their crappy "wonder mouse" is an exercise in finger agility
agreed.. however apple was never meant to have "RIGHT CLICK" anyways
