And what about all the Linux/BSD OSes that power the embedded computers in Cell Phones, Routers, DVD Players, MP3 Players, Video Games, TVs, Cameras, Printers, etc. As well as all the open source OS based computers that power a majority of the worlds supercomputing clusters.
In reality Microsoft is a company under siege, the 1 billion number is only really impressive if you only pay attention to what is inside Microsoft's markets that Microsoft dominates.
