I wish this worked on a particular one of my coworkers. It is is the same situation with my headphones (in-ear monitors). Yet, I still get the same amazingly obvious or lmgtfy-worthy questions asked twice.
If the OP is a professor at a university looking for something that will allow real-time collaboration on a source code editor (syntax highlighting, build tools), I have only heard of one solution: UNA IDE. The software is proprietary and made by n-brain.

I would suggest the OP contact the company and discuss educational license options. It is likely they would negotiate some reasonable pricing for class usage. I would highly recommend that the students also use a VOIP tool during coding sessions.
