  1. Speed of evolution on Radiation-Resistant Plants Could Be Used In Space · · Score: 1

Am I the only one to be astounded at the speed of evolution ???? twenty years means around 20 generation for soya I'd guess. Evolution working at such speed is incredible. This means the proteins were already available somewhere in the genome, which means that, at some point evolution faced this situation for a long period. Or that modern genomes can generate new useful proteins at an incredible speed !!!!

Problem Here ! Something in law states that somebody is innocent unless proof of guilt is found. Some random bites without any mean to assemble anything is not a proof in any way !

  3. Re:You need better computer vision on Cutting-Edge AI Projects? · · Score: 1

Your main argument is mainly that you haven't got the tools in vision. Though, Somebody who is blind is able to build the surrounding world by touching, smelling and hearing. Moles also do the same thing naturally. The only drawback in AI which could be "REAL" might be (have been) the lack of computing power. And right now, the multi processors / cores are damn powerful enough to create intelligence, not sentience, but intelligence, though, it has yet to come ! Nobody has been able to create a generic mechanism which could master most sensors as well as potentially lead to intelligence provided it ran long enough and in a correct environment. That based only on input / outputs and a reinforcement signal.

actually, nothing in the law forbids having one's access cut AND being sued for downloading. From the french's government point of view the copyright owners won't do it though, it's too risky and costly to sue people.
