I got Vista on a new laptop, loved the pretty colors but within a few months learned it was pure crap, deleted it, installed XP and never looked back.
I can honestly say it only took me a few hours to become annoyed. This was after removing the preinstalled junk and running without anti-virus to gain maximum speed.
That's a neat idea: safe.google.com. I still wish there was an.xxx TLD that all "adult" content was moved to off of the.com TLD. It would make it much easier to protect kids from crap they shouldn't see at a young age by filtering the.xxx TLD. (and much easier to find what I want to.. lol)
Unfortunately this won't happen until there is an organization that monitors and approves/denies web sites based on its content. I can see positives and negatives in this. There are people that want the Internet to be free from government control. There are parents that want to protect kids. And there are business owners making boatloads of money with their porn.com web site.

I'd expect a lot more than 10k if I was in his position. And the 20k for school won't cut it either. This is a big deal!!
