Hi All,
Let's get back to the point - isn't there a Linux tool to get that quick boot going. I know that several organizations are working on it.
There is a lot of things to be gained here - especially electricity costs, plus that frustration.
Booting into the Internet - where we all live - should not take 5 minutes.
I could show several things from my blog, but don't dare.
Hi All,
I have found that openSuSE 11.0 works so well that I've decided to replace my Notebook HDD, and put my existing 160 drive in a USB portable device case.
I'll save that, and run Fedora 10 64-bit on my new 250 GB HDD.
Hey, I looked at Vista, and it was a dog. I remember when companies were reluctant to upgrade from Win2000.
If it works, it works. Save what you are using, and those thoughts of running the latest, and greatest Microsoft are really dumb. I've run Linux and all those open source goodies for about 6 - 7 years now.
I wonder what the guys @ Slashdot are running.
I am entertained enough playing Linux games with my Wingman.
TV support comes from other places. Why watch so many movies?
I guess there are too many lonely people out there...
I think that comparing both is like apples and oranges.
Who cares? Vi$ta s*cks, and the new UBUNTU is also slow according to benchmark tests.
I hang back and run openSuSE 11.0. Hey, I've run everything.
PLEEZ, UBUNTU isn't really better than anything M$ can produce. THAT is saying something - like move from.deb to.rpm.
I'd have to argue the point about Ubuntu being the first option out there. I run Linux Mint. This comes with all the codecs out there, and the 3D Desktop Manager Beryl. I've seen what has been popular take a nose-dive. I've been Linux for years.
Somebody has already said that what is popular becomes too complex. I just love adapting to what I need!
Hey, an Ubuntu install was far better than Microsoft Vista after it crashed and burned. Join a forum if you have issues.

Where is this idiot coming from? Red Hat has never appealed to me. The Cloud will come down to hit him on the head.

Hey,
I thought that IBM wanted to do something like this. Well, far beyond this.
Get real. For that cost, I could do it all with my Linux Desktop.

Seriously, haven't people moved to other browsers, where the hacks aren't done every day. Or, another OS by now? Adler Phoenix, Arizona
