"Thousands of people are constantly looking for pornography on the web," Canovas says. "As their stimulation threshold rises, they feel the need for stronger and stronger material until their search leads them to child pornography."
I intuitively feel that the author is stretching the logic a little to thin there. Hanna Montana contributes more to pedophilia than good old clean adult porn I'm sure.
Good parenting and a good education people. The solution to 99% of our problems.
Nice. I guess I can't make comparisons to anyone without doing research first... and finding them to be scumbags. Next thing I'll find out is that Einstein stole all his shit from the patent trolls that filed patents. Oh well.
That's true, but it also depends on the definition of "worth their time". I volunteered at a Buddhist center for four years without pay. Definitely not practical but worth my time. I'm sure a lot of these companies are filled with greedy people who's idea of what's worth their time has more to do with a vacation in the Bahamas or another BMW than saving the lives of the unfortunate.
Nice. Squeezing a buck out of the poorest and sickest people in the world. Gilead Sciences makes the *channers look like Mother Teresa in comparison.
Par for the course in the Pharmaceutical industry.
I'm only 22, so my first game was probably on the NES. I say probablly because I actually started playing videogames before the point in history that I can recall. I still play way too many games, but I play pretty much exclusively PC titles, so the cost of upgrading keeps me from buying all the new stuff. That and the wife. And the job. *sigh*
'funny' related story:
My mom used to play Super Mario Brothers with me. She really blew, but every time she would attempt to jump over a pit, she would 'jump' the controller up and towards the direction she was jumping. I repeatedly told her it wouldn't do any good, but she always did it.... the other day I was playing Wii Bowling, and I remembered the old controller jump. Maybe it's that the systems aren't intuitive enough? My mom would probablly love the Wii.
It doesn't matter if we evolve in relation to what? You make no sense. The environment isn't just the jungle and jaguars.
We're beginning to acquire the capability to modify our own genetics. We're self evolving (Although a gander at the news is evidence that we are self-devolving, but ignore reality for a minute).
Now, if only the ethical and intellectual facilities could catch up, we'd be in business.
...is obvious

...bathing in rays of rainbow light like some kind of solar messiah? Everything mac reminds me of tamagotchi.

Did anybody see that flick? I remember Russo talking about this... but he was sure the chip would be in it.

You must be quite studied in this field to have such strong opinions.
