Oh come on, the middle click is just a left over feature from old X that has never been streamlined into window managers. If you want multiple copy-paste storages, do it right. Also, it does not work completely across qt, gnome and tk. You bug-user, you! hehe:-P
Incompatibility of chargers for mobile phones is a major inconvenience for users and also leads to unnecessary waste. Therefore, the Commission has requested industry to come forward with a voluntary commitment to solve this problem so as to avoid legislation.
and
Industry commits to provide chargers compatibility on the basis of the Micro-USB connector. Once the commitment becomes effective, it will be possible to charge data-enabled mobile phones from any charger compatible with the common specifications.
These days, there are three main uses for FreeDOS:
1. Running classic DOS games
2. Running business software that only supports DOS
3. Supporting embedded DOS systems, such as a computerized cash register or till
While this might be true for apps -- they change too much to settle on a thought-through UI concept, and new ones are constantly created for the same task by not so experienced UI designers -- I'd like to add that IMHO Linux has the best window managers out there. That is one of the reasons I don't use Windows and would put a Linux distribution on a Mac. Because I need to move and resize windows without finding the borders (e.g. Alt-click or Alt-doubleclick and drag). And I need sane virtual desktops for more screen space and for grouping my windows. These are UI features lacking in non-open-source. Granted, it is not something the novice user will miss.
2) Do that other project that keeps interrupting your thoughts.
Maybe we should set up a developer exchange program for open source programs, like Erasmus for devs. Then the exchangees could yell at each other how lazy they are. Seriously though, this could bring some lively exchange of knowledge.
It is aimed for the average user (no server setup needed) and provides a syncing solution across the Internet with a nice UI. Free and open source, available for all operating systems.
No it is not. If you increase the time used per website, you can not process that many websites anymore. JS obfuscated emails were protected because spammers didn't take effort. You might say computers got faster, but unfortunately the web didn't get smaller.
Anyway, I understand the need to post email addresses on a website. How else should people contact you the first time? Personally, I don't like contact forms. Would you advocate for a CAPTCHA or requiring a POST request to obtain the real email address? You could still cry "security by obscurity".
But you can't take away the option of posting email addresses on websites from users, as it is very useful to contact people by email. Reminds me of people saying "Flash is proprietary, and too fancy for my taste anyway, so nobody must use it. Use Javascript.".
Maybe one should make swf files with the email in them. Muhahaha
You missed my point. My point was no one cares or that a exact comparison is not important. By arguing about the formats/codecs performance you loose the argument.
What is it with you people that you want Ogg to be better than any other codec? Isn't it sufficient to say: "The difference is insignificant, but since Ogg has a better license and readily available code, use that"?
Most people will not care what is better by 0.3%, you are making yourself a target to FUD of the sort "experts do not agree yet... best to buy ours!"
Furthermore, free software devs tend to stop when software gets the task done.
For example software like multitalk, server-less sharing of a work folder over the internet* or a multi-head view for pdf-presentations may have innovative available solutions intended for the average office user, but never reach end-users.
=> Polishing, publishing (as in getting it as package to the end user), maintaining, reacting to user requests is extra-work that take a lot of time and effort.
If less people die, parents don't have to give birth to 10 children so some survive and provide health care for them when they are old. More health security correlates with a lower birth-rate.
So, any pointers?

Could you elaborate what the niches are for each?
Would it be technically possible to compare benchmarks with the Windows implementation of NTFS and FAT? Despite having a different underlying kernel?

Then I read about how bad it is for your heart. So I cut it out dramatically. Then a couple years later, I read about how it isn't very bad at all...
In that case the problem isn't really the science, the problem is panic and making drastic decisions based on limited information.

Don't host a website or put data on the web?
Don't use computers?
It is just a client protection, like Microsofts HttpOnly-Cookies. You can still send any packages to the server.

press release and a memo.

Why would you do that?

DSL and Puppy suck so much from a user interface point of view. Uagh
Sure. Either look in the http://dev.jakeapp.com/documents/3">introduction for new developers or on the mirror site
mirror site.
We don't have a git daemon just yet.
I set up a file download mirror if you can't reach the main site:

Love it how they don't know what to write in the "Linux on the Desktop" section. :-]
found it: http://www.physorg.com/news161611128.html
Does the image taken of the ocean right after launch not count? Can anyone dig it up?
Maybe the'll add a comment section too.
Then people can express how they feel about your NPOV.
