the only reason for me switching from the PRO to the PII was that it was cheaper and easier to get than a PII. i would have bought something else than a PII if the alternative didn't suck. they didn't deal with heat as well as intel and none of them could do SMP. the PII became my standard becuase there wasn't a good choice.
