  1. Re:Why? on Google Testing "My World" Second Life Rival? · · Score: 1, Interesting

I agree. There is absolutely NOTHING of interest in Second Life (other than socializing with complete strangers, who you somehow don't realize are old guys with Cheetoz stained T-shirts on [and that's it]). Second Life (although interesting to tour through to see what people have created) severely lacks any kind of interesting "game play". I know it's not supposed to be a game (per se), but at least give people something to accomplish, instead of lying on beach matts gaining .001 of a dollar every 10 minutes for "camping". *yawn* I'm bored. Meet you in SecondLife!

Foxit Reader. MUCH Faster than Adobe at opening PDF files. And not nearly as annoying.... i.e., every time you open it, it doesn't try to download 20 different "updated components".

hahahah no no... I should have said "my extended friends' & families' computers". I'm their local resident IT nerd. Whenever I run across it. But yes I have had friends come over and install crap like that when they "just have to show me something". ;o)

I treat RealPlayer like a virus or mal ware. Everytime some jackass installs it on my computer I immediately get rid of it. That and Adobe Reader. Down with bloated software !!!

  6. Not Just MP3's Slowing Network Performance on Playing Music Slows Vista Network Performance? · · Score: 4, Interesting

Interesting... I thought I was going nuts the other day... I was Transcoding Video from my (powerfull) Vista PC to my XBox360. I noticed that if I was using Media Player to do anything on the PC, that it was slowed my network performance down quite a bit. I thought at first it was because of the transcoder working hard to buffer the other video, but realized the two cores weren't even being used that much, and memory was fine.
