At least not until there is universal agreement on just what is porn. Forget dicks and boobs, in some areas of the world an uncovered woman's face is considered obscene.c
It's much more likely that you're going to run into a lot more false negatives than positives depending on your local communities definition of porn. What is the prevailing standard where you live? Bare breasts okay? Buttocks? Limp dicks? I've heard some parts of the world consider female faces obscene, should the base standards consider any depiction of women without bags over their head obscene?
OpenBox as well, which I played with for a year or so and still use on my HTPC. Sure it takes a bit of work to configure, but how often do you need to configure your desktop to meet your needs? Usually it's once and you are done with it. I don't care if they add more glitz as long as I can can get rid of it, what peeves me is when they remove core functionality to force it on you.
Quite the opposite as a matter of fact, I'm an old fuddy duddy who just wants to have a quick interface to launch my programs and maybe display a pretty picture in the background on my monitor. My 11 year old niece must be cool though because she loves Unity. She also likes having the TV on when she's doing her homework. I guess the yunguns are just better at filtering out silly wasteful distractions than us old farts.
I quit using KDE and went to XFCE during the early 4.* versions. The reason might be stupid, but I really liked being able to right click anywhere on my desktop to access the application menu. I understand that now there is some sort of addon that enables this simple and basic functionality. Really though, all I want from a desktop is a quick way to launch programs and then have it get out of my way.
Both Adobe and DRM are deal breakers here. Why in the world would any sane person put software on their computing devices they can't control and buy something that can be stolen away from them such silly reasons as copyright protections?
I have no problems whatsoever viewing ads! Hell, some of them may even inform me of things I don't know exist. Still, I'd much rather see blank pages then have to worry about cross site attacks.
WTF!? With nothing but minimalistic protections such as adblock and noscript I get nothing but I blank page trying to view the linked site. Seriously, what are they trying to pull here?
And that is the real problem with AT&T, they are just too frigging big to care about anything but AT&T. Years ago an attempt was made to resolve that problem but, like Replicators, they just seem to be able to reconstitute themselves from remnants of their former selves.
Neflix is gambling on how people will watch content in the future. Seriously, do you really think that five years from now the US will have improved its infrastructure enough to support universal access to downloadable content?
You actually took your son to a hospital because he caught a cold? You have to be joking, right? Look, I'm a die hard social libertarian who sincerely believes that the founders understood that you can not have liberty without life, and you can not pursue happiness without liberty. But to waste the time of professionals on something as so ludicrous as suffering a runny nose is really absurd.
Give me a good tyranny under someone who understands the responsibility he carries and realizes that as his subjects prosper so does he. Not these modern days idiots who suck their countries dry to provide them with luxury and entertainment.
In situations where his subjects prosperity is inversely proportional to the tyrant's suffering, what is the tyrant to do?c
First off you'd have to have an agreed upon definition of force, then you'd have to decide on what minimal intervention is necessary to prevent the application of said force. I'm all for lopping off the head of anyone who forces consumers to make decisions based on false or incomplete information, you however, may not be.
The government forcing people to be incubators is one humongous chip. Are you at least okay with abortion in cases of rape? What about birth control failure?
So the bottom line is you want the government to protect the weak as long as it doesn't cost you? Seriously I'm all for banning abortion of a fetus that is viable as long as the government will pay for the cost of incubating and raising it.
By making women have babies they do not want you are not only forcing them to use their body in a manner they do not want, you are also making them slaves to the resulting human being.
Surely Abortion is a medical procedure between a doctor and their patient and the fetus? Surely it's a legitimate funciton of government to protect the weak?
Good point! It's perfectly obvious the government should force people to be incubators against their will.
And in mine, I find I get the best results when I search using -.com. Probably won't be as effective at weeding out the commercial garbage once the "name your top level domain" system is in full swing though.
Or we could just not continue fucking up and overpopulating our current home.
A careful examination of human history will enlighten you to the fact that it is our nature to consume resources and expand our population. Doing so is what has made us who we are. What you are asking is for humans not to be human.
cops have the power and ability to instantly end your life or even 'just' make it unlivable if they so choose.
So do you. By far the vast majority of assaults in this country are citizen against citizen, not cop against citizen.

Obama got the peace prize because his election held promise that American's were finally willing to accept that unAmericans were important too,

Before seat belts were mandatory the many who died from crashes died quickly instead of living to suffer long and slow recoveries?

Poor choices could also be called weak choices. Didn't you say above that a legitimate function of government was to protect the weak?

I define a successful search as one that provides the answer without making visit another website.
